I'm first time Android user since moving out from iPhone. This is my first purchase of Samsung Galaxy S4.
Been following this thread since V1 till now. Here is my feedback after using the phone for 2 weeks My usage of my phone is mainly calls (1 hour) , social networking, camera, games, websurfing, whatsapp, Services such as Wifi, Data, GPS, Multi Window, S Beam, NFC, Air View, Air Gesture, Smart Scroll, Sync = always ON My battery usage after full charge and at 5% = 15 hours . It's a huge difference for me since I'm coming from the fruit clan After disable the Google Latitude service my battery lasted for 25 hours with same usage I did not notice the camera start-up time slow at the beginning until I receive the software update on Monday. It's faster now. Those who just bought the phone should try updating the software. Those who complaint after testing the demo unit, well it's a demo unit, so many hands touching it and installing too much software. Try playing with your friends phone and see the difference for yourself As for the readers who not sure if should buy the LTE or non LTE version, I would say go for the non LTE ( the current one in market). Mobile networks are not fully upgraded to 4G in many areas yet. In KL if I'm not mistaken it's only near Damansara area so far. I would only go for LTE version in 2 years time. Not now. Plus I'm happy with the 3G speed for the phone. It's not that I need faster speed to download movies It is not easy for me to purchase anything, I would make too many consideration before I buy anything and Samsung S4 is not spared from this. I'm happy with my purchase |

QUOTE(madman20 @ May 9 2013, 11:16 AM) According to a poster on xda Well it may not be about 1080p screens since the i9505 can get it fine from the play store.Real racing 3 doesn't seem to compatible with 1080p screens. Not compatible with the htc one, xperia z and the 9500 afaik. SOS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41154593 |

The keyboard are kinda stupid compare to my nexus 4 stock ( google android i think ) keyboard.. couldnt find google android keyboard in google play get swiftkey or swype la.. these are very good keyboards. Swiftkey is good for typing normally and swype is is a good keyboard if you want to trying swiping text. Swiftkey has that feature as well "flow" but i still prefer swype. You choice. I have both cause i bought both when they were cheap Another thing is.. why did you change to the S4 over Nexus 4? You will still be getting updates until next year... QUOTE(benny888 @ May 9 2013, 07:03 AM) Next time use betterbatterystats app to check wakelocks. Google for these if you don't understand. You should target for say 2-3% drop over 7-9 hours idle. Mine is consistently this range with 3g on but wifi off I used wakelock detector and found out the maps is the caused I think. Because it says it has been open 222 times while I think I only used it once or twice. What do I do now? Any other suggestions? |
