for those who feel s4 overheating, refer below link article

http://www.redmondpie.com/samsung-galaxy-s..._medium=twitter

btw I saw somebody post in xda developer forum it is laggy
impossible lag right ?
*
Possible, it is still lagging not smooth in animation part.

Heat wise, I don't think so, it is far cooler than xperia Z or that extreme heat phone - HTC One. I don't feel any heat issue during several units try out.

For Polaris Office, just wait, last time it also came late for my S III, and older version never can use one as it will detect not license for that version.

Guys, I went to try the phone yesterday and felt some lag when pressing home button, as well as scrolling around generally. What are your experiences so far?
*
I test at least 6 units (2 version) in different shop with different peoples, all disappointed, the phone is not smooth, more apps you open, more worst the smoothness.

S4 smoothness is far behind than HTC One or Xperia Z. It not even better than Note II. S4 open apps fast than any phone I mention here, but smoothness wise is pretty bad.

Samsung shall/must able to fixed it in future. S4 is just out too rush.

To be fair, most of the demo units are on power-saving mode enabled (no idea why). Most of you probably would not notice this as many of us just flick the screens, open a few apps etc. The power-saving mode is what is causing the transition effects and smoothness to lag abit. Once you turn it off the phone has really neat scrolling as well as app launch times. Check it first guys biggrin.gif
*
I know that and that is the first thing I check. So the lagging has nothing to do with it.

And if not remember wrong, only one unit turn on that stupid power saving feature.

To put a blanket statement that based only on your testing demo set at phone shop is not the right way. Many of us who already own the phone do find that the phone is not as bad as you describe.

Mine have very little lags and nearly as good as Note2. It have a bit stuttering here and there which I believe can be improve after it receive a couple of updates.

Camera seems a bit odd as quite a few user have problem with it. Maybe there's a few different batch that arrive here as NOT all of the user have this problem. Whatever it is..I hope it can be solved with the updates.
*
Nearly as good as Note II? The spec is fastest at the moment, it can do nearly as good only? Why it can't even fight with HTC One which clock speed much lower.

It need to be the most smooth but it wasn't.

Actually S4 is facing same issue as S3 international 1GB edition. It is hard to be smooth. Too many things/service run in background which occupied too much of RAM and left too little RAM for usage. With such big bloatware around. S4 will only smooth if it came with 3GB RAM.

Rumors Note 3 will came with 3GB RAM. If this rumors true, then only Note 3 will be another smooth phone by Samsung after Note 2. In such scenario of happen, then conclusion Samsung Galaxy S series phone no longer a great phone but instead an experiment phone.

Stability always a weak point of Samsung.

Lucky I jump ship, what is restart or hang? I really no idea now. smile.gif

My colleague and some of my Samsung fans friends planning jump ship also due to tired of instability of Samsung device. Until now, the only superb stable Samsung phone I ever see is Note II.

From all what I read, this S4 is equally not stable as S II - G version.

Hahaha thank you Andrew. Comment coming from someone like you, thank you indeed  rclxms.gif

That's why the Note 2 users are bored with no problems to discuss except the occasional SDS question.

Anyway I think the s4 is still a great device, and will improve once they iron out the bugs.

Haha! tongue.gif S4 spec is outstanding, Samsung need more stability test to let it better.

Yesterday I just go play again S4, I believe it is load with newer version already.

It is solid smooth this time, not like what I get as last time.

Never encounter phone restart when testing camera.
