from what I know u can build your wall without your neighbour's consent so long as you do not interfere with the fence and its within your area (until the fence). do not go beyond the fence towards your neighbour's area.

Hope this helps.

Thanks kevin! Yah...I plan to do this right now too...at least won't affect neighbours so don't need their consent and less problems in the future

It's been 2 weeks since I wrote my defects to them. And they said they will only begin the repairs in 2 weeks time due to the long queue.
I'm concerned on the quality of their repair. A fren advised that I should just get my own contractor to do it, prolly faster and better.

Same thing happened to my units. I got my keys around August. After listed out the defects I was left waiting for months. If u think ken holdings is a respectable contractor. U r wrong. As a innocent first time property buyer. I handed them my keys for fixing. After 2 months of waiting, I have found more new defects such as scratches and dens on the floor as a trade for My relatively smaller defects. Later I found out there are deep scratches on my sliding door glass. On the same week I found that my house door was left wide open. Front door and back door. Cigy butts is in the house. Beer can at my back lawn.

I have made a complain to ken and asked to fix the prob. So guess the following is their reply:
1. It's a after sales unit. Not their responsibility for any defects. Even though I have signed and handed keys to them. They claim that there is no such doc. When I handd the keys. It is based on mutual understanding. My arse.
2. To my defend, i told them it all happened coz the contractor left the house opened.Kens manager replied saying , they r not the only one to have keys. I have my own too. Come on. I only check my units only once every week. And I have lock my house. Not pointing the finger back to me. Also once found the workers sleeping in my house during weekend. It's all locked. Lucky that my wife did not visit the that day.

To all the new buyers. Please do not trust ken holdings. Ask them to photocopy the doc that u have sign . else don't sign it. The thing that left me wonder is ken holdings have spend so much money advertising, through bloggers and so on. why dont they spend more on hiring a capable staffs and increase the quality of their product. It's a good taste of China man experience for me. And a heads up to every one. Upper floor is plaster ceiling only. If leaks. Get ready to live without a roof. No air con point for 3 rooms and get ready for dengue. Their is no happy neighbor so far.

gonna get my house keys from lawyer coming tuesday!!!
finally, after such a long time waiting for it biggrin.gif rclxm9.gif

after reading all 28 pages of this thread, i'm so glad that many residents have moved in and looks like this is going to be a good neighbourhood!
so gonna go register the electric and water, first thing!
then maybe pay a visit to the management office to get the cards and defects papers sorted.

looking for electrician/plumber to help see to the defects/basic lighting.
then after defects done, will look into putting up the kitchen biggrin.gif

i hope we could share some ideas on the kitchen, just looking forward to a great community! rclxms.gif

For electricity and water, I believe the management actually does this for u. Just need to provide them the required docs and payment.

Love to get some ideas on the kitchen. I visited Kubiq at Viva Homes and honestly it's quite appealing. Still looking into options, if you got any ideas do share! Going to visit Kubiq at their HQ this weekend.
