chimney that release smoke? Hrm... hmm.gif
initially I tot of buying V-Resi but its too near too Carlsberg...So I look into Ken..
But looks like most of the property in this area are surrounded by factories and these chimneys that release smoke..
Is that hazardous bro?
hmm.gif

i'm not sure whether it is hazardous, but i think since ken rimba awarded the green township, it should not have hazardous smoke nearby. well, this is just my guess... personally i feel the air is not polluted around the area..

bro, the bad smell issue in my master bedroom solved. rclxms.gif

previously i found there is a hole on the floor tile right behind the water closet, thus i called ken grouting to help me fix it. after they help me to fix on last friday, there is no more bad smell (perhaps it doesnt come back again notworthy.gif ).

according to the worker, that hole very deep, he used a lot of cement to fill it up

try to look at ur toilet too, i hope this helps smile.gif

U mean a hole at the cement surrounding the toilet bowl?

Yea I had that last time. How I found out was because I saw a cockroach and it ran to the hole behind the bowl. It used to smell in the master bedroom but not anymore after they came to fill up the hole...

Hmmm maybe I should snoop around my toilet. Must have some hole or something somewhere. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

hahaha... the cockroach lead you to figure out the problem

the hole in my toilet is just right behind the toilet bowl, is of the tile at bottom of the water tank. but there is no any hole in my downstair toilet, still donno what caused this bad smell.

Just wondering, has anybody claimed back the deposit from MBSA and Genesis Nature after the renovations? Anybody kind enough to share the procedures? Like whether MBSA sends reps to the house to check or we just need to take photos of the reno for them to see

Thanks for the advice!
From my communication with them, they seem reluctant to do the repairs. But they did ask me to go ahead and send the list to them, but they keep emphasizing that there's no liability period coz I bought it on 'wat u see is wat u get' basis.
Didn't know I can submit a 2nd defect list. I should go check all my sockets to make sure they are working fine.
*
I would say just submit it in whenever you found a defect. I just saw a defect today which wasn't there when i checked last week. There was a small hole/crack on the wall behind my main door. And the size and place corresponds exactly to where my door handle meets the wall. My guess is when the contractors opened the door, they did it too wide and hard so it knocked my wall and made a hole there.

Anyway, I almost had an argument with ken holdings staff (note: not the genesis mgt folks but the staff who sold the house to me). I went to check on the status and wanted to report the above additional defect but was told by genesis staff that I should liase with ken holding directly coz I bought it as a completed unit and bought 'as-is'. So I went over to talk to the sales guy who told me that I would need to queue my repairs again, which is a load of bullcrap since the defect was made by your contractors in the first place! Seriously, the front desk people need some training in customer service area. mad.gif

I guess I'll get my renovation contractor to repair these instead of waiting for Ken, been 2 mths and still haven't finished repairing...I need to start my construction soon. rclxub.gif

It's been 2 weeks since I wrote my defects to them. And they said they will only begin the repairs in 2 weeks time due to the long queue.
I'm concerned on the quality of their repair. A fren advised that I should just get my own contractor to do it, prolly faster and better.

Some of the repairs are ok but they kinda screwed up my toilet floor tiles. What I'm frustrated is they introduce new defects to my house n I still need to go back in queue for them to rectify it.

Hi all Ken Rimba residents, yesterday I purposely went and drove around Ken Rimba during the heavy downfall and found the road where the Puspakom is located is flooded, but something to be glad of is that there isn't any flood in Ken Rimba compound. Anyone knows who I should report this to so that something can be done on the flood. It will be very inconvenience for us to drive in/out during rainy days and we can imagine how bad it can be if rain during peak hours. Kindly advice.

Drain extension is already on the way, look at around JPJ/Puspakom areas, they are supposingly making drain.

Called JKR just now. They got my name and mobile number, they will look into that and call me back. I think I can wait, as long as things are reported and we will see how it goes. Of course better to be sooner than later. Cheers.
