I'd love to hear about impressions on the Surface Pro as well. smile.gif
The price is certainly attractive for a pen-enabled x86-based device. But how does it compare against more costly hybrids like the Stylistic Q702 and the Thinkpad Helix? Would the 10.6" display be too cramped for it to be used as a primary pc for work?
*
The Surface Pro is tablet first, with PC like capabilities. If you're using it for PC work then better to get those new Ultrabooks that turns into tablet. 10.6" too small for standard PC usage on day to day.. for me anyway it is.

you buy it mainly because of what? the keyboard?
*
One of the reasons.
The best thing is the Microsoft Office. I'm a student, and I need it a lot.
iOS and Android can't help me with this part.

Initially I'm interested in tablet. When I know about Surface RT, I am strongly attracted by this feature.

im worrying about the future of RT. If microsoft really wanna abandon this ship, then this is another story of WebOS in Touch Pad..

And wanna ask a question, is the surface rt sharing same store with windows 8 phone?
*
No. The store is different.
The store is actually the SAME with Windows 8.

Microsoft promises to provide more than 2 years of support to Surface RT. I believe Windows RT will not so fast dead...

Main reason I want to get it is when I go to campus, it will be way more portable than my Retina MBP. If I really wanna use it on my home desk or even TV I can use HDMI out.

What kind of work are you wanting to do on it? Because believe it or not, I run my presentations from my mobile phone at times, connect via hdmi out to a projector. Even more portable. LOL

But yeah, I see the Surface Pro as a tablet with PC compatibility on the go etc, but not as your main work machine.

I say, if you have a notebook already and are considering a tablet, Surface RT suits you. smile.gif
Pro is a laptop replacement.

I think Surface Pro is still unique in market. None of the Tablet Hybrid PC can match it. I'm looking forward to the next Haswell Surface Pro. Hopefully more than 10 hours battery life notworthy.gif

Oh yeah regarding the shock/vibration feeling when charging, I experience it with the HTC One as well which uses an all aluminium unibody design which is somewhat familiar with Surface's magnesium body.

Is that possible? The price can be very high though.

RT doesn't have SIM slot right? We gonna solely depend on WiFi?

The USB can't be use to insert portable moderm because the installation is normal .exe which can't be run by RT OS. Does my understanding is correct?

Not entirely. A normal USB transceiver for keyboard/mouse works on the RT. I think it will be up to Microsoft's driver support for the RT.

Any idea how reliable is this company and if it's possible to top up to a type cover?
