Remember that if you want to use Photoshop with the Surface, you need to install these drivers to allow for pressure sensitivity detection

Having trouble updating to Windows 8.1?
QUOTE(soultaker @ Nov 2 2013, 05:10 PM)
Why can't I find the update in the Store?

If your PC is currently running Windows 8 (or Windows RT) and you want to update to Windows 8.1 (or Windows RT 8.1) in most cases you’ll see this free update prominently featured on the Windows Store home page. If you’ve opened the Store and you don’t see the update, it could be for one of these reasons:

You might need the latest updates from Windows Update
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

You might be running an edition of Windows 8 that doesn’t support updating from the Store
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Windows Store might not be showing the latest content

Type cover is pretty good, touch cover is infuriating to use. Even after 5 months of trying it here in the US, it's just not for me, Touch typist might fare better.

On the other hand, the Surface and Surface Pro are pretty handsome hardware.

Touch cover is abit of a gimmick, it just little bit slimmer and lighter than type cover. Love the feeling of type cover laugh.gif

No doubt it is one of the best tablet, on par with iPad build quality nod.gif

The Surface Pro is pretty excellent. Though I may change my mind once I get a hands-on with the Razer Edge.

I like it very much but I will skip this gen. Wait for Haswell, battery performance should be even better.

Razer Edge is another story though, it have discrete graphic and core i7 configuration. Imagine the heat build up in that small casing shocking.gif

you cant expect hybrids to be attractive. if you dont want RT, then you have to wait for the release of Surface Pro, which uses x86 x64 processor like core i5. icon_rolleyes.gif

It has integrated graphics alongside, so the NVIDIA wouldn't be used all the time.

Thats true. I expect next gen will use snapdragon 800 or tegra 4. Both of the processor capable to run hi res screen as well as low power.

this RT comes out too freakin late (for msia)

tegra 3 is so early 2012 stuff. performance will not be satisfactory.
and Pro is STILL not available.

I guess i will wait for Surface pro 2 next year. Love the vaporMg, love the kickstand. I expect it to be Thinner, generates less heat, and have better battery efficiency (>5 hours of Heavy use would be amazing).
For now i'm not really complaining using Aspire S7 smile.gif
