i wonder how come RAFA was not appointed LIV manager after KD left, instead is BR ? anyway RAFA only have himself to blame, no fans would like to be call plastic flag fans right ? and of course the fierce rivalry between our club during RAFA and JM time, most see him as a rival manager. U dont expect SAF manage MANC and getting got reception after calling them noisy neighbourÂ

BR was chosen because he fits the criteria demanded by FSG. A young coach with an idea/philosophy that's in line with FSG's own vision for the club.
Its a long term project and they wanted to offload older players with high wages and reduce the overall age of the team thus increasing potential value in the future. And, they wanted a fresh face to take charge of all those changes. BR (38/39 yrs old when appointed) fitted the bill perfectly..that's all. I think Rafa was never in contention. That would be going backwards in the eyes of FSG.
Its slow and painful, but i like to think it will bear fruit in the future. We are the youngest team in the premier league thus far..at least we know some of the objectives are being achieved. With Carra retiring next season, the average will plummet further.

Also, I actually understand why Chelsea supporters hate Rafa. He deserved the hatred just for the "plastic flag/fan" remark itself. I would be 50/50 too if i were a Chelsea supporter..but I would be more inclined to support him because I wanted to see the club that i supported succeed. I wont like him 100% of course but surely he deserves some credit for whatever he's achieve in the short period he's there. He did pretty well under the pressure and being jeered by his club's own supporters every week. But i do understand.
