Tough being a Chelsea fan, having to support Rafa but in the end, the club comes first. Whoever wishes for the club not to do well just to get the manager sacked needs to be institutionalised. Some years back, we were rumoured to be considering Jose Mourinho. Although I did not like him, I respected him as a manager and like some posters here, I was actually looking forward to his appointment. So what if he was an old adversary who would constantly lock horns with Rafa? He was a man who stood by his players and injected huge dosses of confidence in his side. He was and is still cocky but he can back it up. That's what mattered to me.
On a more somber note, Jamie Carragher will be pulling on the red kit for the last time against QPR. I've witnessed his career from start to finish and though I never thought he'd amount to much, I became a fan of Carra not purely for his ability, but for his attitude. He never gives up and he's always putting his body on the line. My favourite Liverpool player, of my generation. Well done Carra. I'll learn Scouse for when you are on air. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1641034...te-one-club-man? |

QUOTE(vreis @ May 16 2013, 11:16 AM) interesting fact is Torres is currently the reigning World Cup, European, UCL & Europa Champion His resume is looking better and better since he went to chelsea. Also, he is some kind of a competition troll..always score in the final to troll naysayers.fulfilled his trophy desires aint it. No reason for him to sulk anymore since he won something & pockets >100k/week.....life's good for him Congrats to Rafa and Chelsea. Rafa deserves a lot of credit for this one. He did pretty well under the circumstances to steady a club in disarray and won them the Europa League and CL qualification. I watched the match and it was entertaining. Chelsea were poor in the first half but after half time team talk, the came out with all guns blazing. Torres scored a brilliant individual goal. They then concede a poor penalty to Benfica. Cardozo (Remember him?) scored the penalty. And in the final seconds of the match Ivanovic (after absorbing some of Suarez's energy from the bite I feel bad for Benfica and their supporters too at the same time. Imagine being in 7 European cup finals in a row and never have won one. They lost all of it. Sickening. They should just abolish the football club. |

Looks like we are linked with McManaman, McCarthy, Papadoupoulos, Ilori, Tello, ......etc etc..some papers even say close to signing some of them..
Guess we can play a different 11 every match if we get all of them.. |

LOL. Newspaper epic failure.
Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has dismissed speculation that he has already agreed to a move "I don't know anything. I keep myself apart of what is being said. If it was for the press, I have already been transferred to all the teams in Europe like Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United. "The only real thing is that I am in contract until 2016, all the rest is only speculation. I don't know anything about Monaco, I have my mind focused where I am ". http://www.football365.com/news/21554/8716851/-? |
