As a football fan, i suppose the most painful thing is to sit throughout the summer until new season open and wondering will your best player be pinch by other galaticos club...this is the reality of being liverpool...we still a big club...but nowhere near the influence that barca or real has over players...from what i read...players would take pay cut to join barca...so unless and until we get back to the 'perch', we'll never know our circle of influence in the football world...but again..not many clubs or player can resist if any of these 2 teams comes calling with bagful of monies especially real....
With regards to iago aspas...i just hope that the media and fans can give this kid a break and not too many huhah.....already many thread and comment saying he wont have too much impact...a mediocre signing...etc....but i believe at 7 million, he is not to focal point signing,,,probably to improve depth of the squad...Viewing his clips...i notice that his interplay within 18 yard box is good, with measured pass and one touch...the hallmark of what BR wants to play...i can only draw my own conclusion from various clips shown that he's got good 1st touch and an eye for passing...all characteristic found in coutinho..sturridge...suarez..even asaidi..still remember me checking out assaidi's clip and recall what a dribbler...but what happen to him....only BR knows...but our profiling on players is more positive...we looking for players with good touch, good control and mobile....definitely much better for attacking football...so its no surprise that totenham and arsenal was link with aspas....player that fit the profile... Still keeping my fingers cross that we make at least 1 marquee signing....aspas is definitely not... |
