(y). I really prefer Notebook parts from China! They are mostly made in China so why order from US or elsewhr? But yes you gotta be smart enough to find trust able seller and to confirm earlier and research earlier whether the specific part is compatible with your notebook or not. I had a decent experience ordering a zenbook prime 1080p LED screen and I installed it myself works like a charm (Y). I saved a lot of money! as Asus quoted me 1500RM plus I had to give my notebook to them for 2 to 3 weeks +-. My other friend who works in Asus was charging me 700RM. And I got the screen with postage from China for 290RM. See the difference Plus the screen is genuine too as I researched and asked what brand and model screen would they would get for me. The one I bought was the same brand and model too. In short ordering parts which are overall made in China, I would recommend one to order it from China itself. lol.

P.S. I hope someday I can visit China. I am going to do a lot of tech shopping thr hahaha.

I'm trying out the AlienAdrenaline Game Mode function to make use of the AlienFX to sync with Dota 2. I've added Dota 2 in the list. A shortcut was created automatically on my dekstop (Game Mode - Dota 2). I've chosen Enable AlienFX API (if supported) in the settings.



But the lights are not changing based on my health etc when I'm in the game.

Anybody out there that can help me out? Thanks.

Games that Support AlienFX:

Supreme Commander 2 - Switches color depending on faction used. Blue for UEF, green for Illuminate, etc., keyboard flashes Red and Blue when Strategic missle is launched.
Dark Void - Flashes keyboard lights based on different situations.
Sacred 2 - Makes the lights flash excessively. Can someone elaborate more on this one please?
World in Conflict - Flashes a yellow and red strobe when Nuke is launched.
Fallen Earth - Flashes keyboard yellow when you gain AP or a level, then goes dark.

overall experience is great improve except it doesnt do good to non ms app. My chrome looks damn ugly in 8.1 so i downgrade back to 8.

Windows 8.1 Hmmmm..... I'll wait for an upgrade when Alienware has it available.

to me there is a small number of differences between w8.1 and w8. couldn't notice if the performance improvements.

it's more like a service pack than a new version of windows imo.

you are right about it. not really much software changes about the 8.1 except the aesthetic ones.

yeah. upgrading to 8.1 is seamless however. no issue here
