Actually i think Lumia 920 will get all 8.XX updates, but not WP9 (due to higher hardware requirement like quad core), which is reasonable.
And WP9 budget phones would probably be running budget quad core snapdragons (that are comparable to those cheap MediaTek quad processors).

Man, I am really annoyed by the pretty much useless fb integrated chat. I got no income messages and need go into fb app to check...

Yeah the other platform has no such problem. As they don't have FB integrated chat in the first place.
Nah, the FB chat in the messaging system is somewhat hit and miss. I also sometimes can get it sometimes not.
Hopefully they will fix this in future updates.

1st of all, other platform don't have integrated FB chat. Hehehe!

Anyway, I know lots of ppl have issues with it. Weirdly it works so well for me till I had to offline it since ppl fb msg me in all kinds of hours of the day. It seems that fb always seems to have to re-authenticate to your Live account for fb chat to work properly. How to check this? Log into Outlook.com on PC, click your name on the top right corner, click Account Settings, sign in again, click Permissions, then finally Manage Accounts. Make sure Facebook is listed there & it's not showing some error. Phew!!! What long steps just to do one simple thing right? MS pls organise your things better.

I agree, sometimes even see the the message unable to connect to chat. =/ At other times i can chat easily.

if u cannot find the building just put the road name (as per address) 99% can find easily.....

last time while i was looking for friend's house in klang those inside kampung area with even backroad also got show in the map with countless road combination using offline map search.... (but sadding the shortest rout i took the first time resulting me met an electric line pole sitting in the middle of the back road) but not a major problem...

i dunnow how regular nokia do updates their map...but sometimes i delete the map i download long time a go for a fresh map...or while at home just randomly searching map using "online search" first

Yup; Nokia sure is pretty bold, use Nikon invitational fonts and codename their new Lumia "EOS". It's big.

oh really? That's quite some irony over here because EOS is one of the Nikon's rival product name. (Brand C)

They did it on purpose, codename their pureview phone with Canon's EOS name and the ZOOM Reinvented title is following Nikon's font and trademark yellow-black colors.

Want to tell people their phone can take photo better than both brand's camera?

Not really, but probably snap near-DSLR quality photos. But still, you need skills and knowledge to make full use of a phone camera. For me im more of using trial error method though - i shoot dozens of photos of the same thing on different setting, then later go back put in computer and choose the best one, because i cant decide which is the best from phone screen. Colors and detail look nicer on a phone screen but not as vivid on my computer.

Even my cousin who has photography as a hobby mistook some of my photos as being taken from a digital camera, only to be surprised they came from my N8 and Lumia 920. That said, most of my Lumia 920 photos look good because they are close up and macro photos or night photos. And that was before i got the portico update (after i got it till now i havent took much photos yet). That's why. I cant find a way to snap fantastic landscape shots, the aperture is the limiting factor.

The messaging issues happen when facebook contact appears offline and in mobile mode.

Our windows phone 8 seems to be only able to detect ONLINE status. If they went online via phone, not going to happen
