QUOTE(sosot000 @ May 30 2013, 06:30 PM)
thx for answering bro! first of all im fully conscious about the diff in the platforms. im actually going to get either one of these within the next 2 weeks, the reason i asked the previous question was because some said HTC One's camera can actually compete with L920, is that true?

the browsing experience of the 2 phones, which is better in terms of loading speed, FLV/Flash support.
can L920 support all video and audio format ? such as MKV, FLAC, RMVB, RM, cause reformatting can be a pain in the ass... rclxub.gif

and one more thing, are the chatting apps for L920 causing any problem? to be specific, wechat, whatsapp, Line.
LASTLY, where can i buy L920 by using the RM200 rebate without the nid of purchasing a data plan? Im living in N9 tho..
*
You can read this article to had an idea for the difference between lumia 920 an htc 8x icon_idea.gif

http://www.wpcentral.com/htc-8x-vs-nokia-l...ure-vs-flagship

Maxis center does had sell lumia 920 for RM1499 (RRP RM 699-200), but need to change to use hotlink prepaid though, got free 300mb per month internet for up to 6 months. But not all maxis center may keep this stock though. I go maxis center at Sunway Pyramid, they had no stock, so i also didn't use my PKB to get discount, instead i buy from outside phone shop. cry.gif

But currently nokia shop had offer for free wireless charger if you buy 1699 though.

QUOTE(EXkurogane @ May 30 2013, 06:38 PM)
Camera - Nokia is still far ahead.
Video support - unfortunately, only AVI and MP4 for now; Audio is MP3 and M4A.
Lumia's browser speed is fast, (as far as i can remember even faster than Galaxy S3, but against HTC One i have no idea) but no flash support.
Whatsapp is available.

Again, HTC One is RM 1999- 2299 like that while Lumia 920 is going for RM 15XX. The price difference should be enough to tell you the difference.
*
Adobe no longer develop flash for mobile version, plus HTML5 now also support flash, so is normal nokia will ditch flash and support HTML5 only.

Today i update display + touch setting apps in my phone. But the only changes i notice is i no longer can choose the phone run in low/high sensitivity touch screen, any else changes for this apps? hmm.gif

Also i found microsoft put their youtube apps back to windows store, but can't find any news on the changes on their apps. hmm.gif

Edit: Didn't see it become two tabs, so the low/high touch screen sensitivity still there. doh.gif

According to the icon status on microsoft website, if it was using 4G LTE, it should show LTE symbol on top the phone.

Is it the phone didn't on LTE mode, or telco's 4G is not LTE? hmm.gif

For me, i still haven't meet people around me carry lumia, even my whole family is carrying whole generation of samsung galaxy S series, while my colleague mostly carrying iphone or samsung galaxy s series. sad.gif

Still haven't manage to convert other people to change lumia.

When the people around me why buy lumia 920, i will show them all the features other phone don't had, like wireless charging, here maps/drive/city lens, Metro UI. Some of them also impressed by it features.

Although the phone is heavy compare to other phone, some of my colleague say had more solid feel carrying lumia 920.

Unforunately Editor had put the foot note, the notification center is removed on further development on the new window 8.x

I'm looking forward to the data sense, so that i can easily track my data usage, instead of dialling *100# to check the status.

On that article i first time hear lumia 920 daylight shot is better than night shot. rclxub.gif

Various review on the internet always say lumia 920 night shot>daylight shot.

I wonder what mode they using in taking the shot. hmm.gif

Inside got introduction and few links to shootout result of 4 phone (Lumia 920, HTC One, IPhone 5, Galaxy S4).

I still can't figure out the method of image taken and review by them. rclxub.gif

The only thing they say good on Lumia 920 is the Purview HD, which the screen can display the colour of the photo most close to the original photo colour. sweat.gif

Maybe they just shoot the photo and watch the photo over in the phone only.
WP8 default photo viewer quality is being reduced to maintain the fluidity and so on.
They didn't watch the photo in the PC so that's why they come up with this conclusion perhaps?
As for the details, well Lumia 920 sure kinda weak in that point. Hopefully Amber will fix the issue.
*
I think they do had do comparison on the monitor, as they say IPhone5 and Lumia 920 display the image quality quite close to what they see on their LCD color calibrated monitor (important to journalist, as they need to know the colour quality when print out on paper), except S4 where it is too bright.

QUOTE(arbelnox @ Jun 12 2013, 03:10 PM)
LOL.. too sharp.. First time ever I heard people are complaining the photo being too sharp.
Are they using touch to snap instead of the shutter button when taking night photo? Quite blurry as I'm watching it.
*
I see other internet review most of them say lumia 920's daylight photo jpeg processed image is not sharp enough, first time i hear the image is too sharp on the star review. rclxub.gif

5% not the best i think. my L920 only drain like 1-2% overnight, not in flight mode but without data connection, including alarm ringing in the morning like 3-5 timesĀ  tongue.gif

btw, anyone know how to connect L920 to pc with windows xp?
*
Same here, after doing portico update, close all the connection (3G, wifi, bluetooth, location, NFC), block all the background task, 1 night only drain about 1-2% battery power. rclxms.gif

I just plug USB cable to computer and windows xp manage to detect my phone, its use MTP protocol to transfer file. My WIndows XP is SP3.

I also use WIndows Media PLayer 11 to sync music to my lumia 920. Sometime even able to sync Chinese Song into phone without making the file name become unicode.
