Something like that would probably have to forgo removable battery and maybe would have lower specs like galaxy S3 and galaxy s3 mini lol.
The Galaxy Xcover 2 has IP67 rating with a removable battery and microsd. The backplate is secured by a screw action. No flimsy flaps.
But having said that, I don't know if it heralds a bad habit of making users wash their phones are purposely submerging it for the heck of it. The XZ thread contains quite a number of boo boos from people purposely submerging their phones are habitually washing it.
Again however, if you look at Sony's TV ad, it shows the use case of protection against ACCIDENTAL or INCIDENTAL splashes and spills rather than purposeful submersion, eg snorkelling or river video filming.
Lastly, Seidio OBEX series cases offer immediate IP57 or IP67 protection ..... so why sweat it?
My 2 cents is that electronics and water DO NOT mix and I will only wipe my phone if I really must, and not wash it even if it's supposedly waterproof.
