If you can wait, then yes wait for Leopard. Heck if you can wait, then better to wait for the Santa Rosa based Macbooks which will probably come early 2008. But then again, that's only around one year from the Mac OS X 10.6 plus the quad-core Intel Penryn processors so why not wait more for that in late 2008/early 2009 period. Then there's the new Intel Nehalem based processors towards the end of 2009 which will be a completely new design, promising faster and better performance...

How long do you want to wait?
*
I think I'll just wait for OS X Leopard then. Santa Rosa doesn't impress me, really.

buy now, then upgrade to leopard later... although if you wait till leopard comes out then, even though there will probably be no price or hardware improvements in the laptop itself, you'll save a few 100 bucks on leopard smile.gif

Spoke to someone at my local mac shop, and he says if I wanna upgrade to leopard later, it'll only cost me £89.99. And seeing as I plan to sell my PC to semi-fund the purchase, I think that is an acceptable "sacrifice". Saves me time, and I get a new toy to play with, sooner.

ya.. it'll be a small price later, plus the demand surge for macs just after leopard comes out will probably make them more expensive.. so it's probs best to buy now, then get leopard later smile.gif

Haha demand and supply?

I think the prices of Macs will remain unless new hardware is announced.

make sure that partition is NOT NTFS. Mac osx can't write in that format, but you can use NTFS-3G+Tools to make mac osx to be able to write in NTFS. NTFS-3G+Tools just a beta anyway. The best solution is format your ext-hdd into fat32 format. wink.gif

I think I need to get my battery replaced... Battery performance has been deteriorating really bad after installing battery update 1.2 ... Battery health dropped from 98% -> 91% -> 82% within 2 weeks, i calibrated the battery last night and now it's gone down further to 71%, and this is just after 57 cycles...
*
Is the battery is a lithium-polymer battery? I know the current MacBook uses that kind of battery.

Lithium-polymer battery can be overcharged. No lifespan for it. (I can't guarantee that, humans invented that).

I assume that you got a PC.

Connect your external hard disk into your PC, move all the files into the PC HDD. Then format your external hard disk to FAT32 by...

In My Computer, right-click on your external hard disk and choose Format. Then choose FAT32 and quick-format. Done!

After that, copy all your files back to your external hard disk.

Please copy all your personal files first before format, or else you'll lose your goods.

@supazta,
You're the first person who seems to be having problems - then again, it could be due to your oversized files..... well, go through the process once and after that u'll be fine smile.gif

Have fun biggrin.gif
