why disable touchpad? smile.gif

and you found the screen to be bright? i usually have it in full brightness.

but when in dark places, i turn it down a little.

Total dummy with that "pad" thingy. A RM 10 mouse serve me better.... shocking.gif

My brightness is around 70% now in a pretty well lighted condition.. i still find it a bit "too bright"

ed0gawa,
Try using the trackpad.  It may be a little inconvenient at the beginning but I think you'll soon get used to it.  I'm getting used to mine though at this point i can't say i prefer it more than the mouse.

It sure takes awhile getting used to the 'right-clicking' of the mouse! *grins*
*
Well, i guess that at some point i'll have to use it ..... impossible to hug the mouse around when i have no notebook bag at all ... lol

** Still using mouse now... lol

O_o .. my DVI-VGA convertor ain't around....

btw, anyone familiar with MySql installation?
I am following a guide on http://switch.richard5.net/isp-in-a-box-v2...ql-on-mac-os-x/
Did all the part till the author says
QUOTE
To get the shared libraries you need to do another step which might look a bit drastic but it solves any issues you might encounter in compiling the rest of your applications. You need to download the Source to MySQL 5, it's the tar file called mysql-5.0.26.tar.gz, unpack it and open a Terminal session where you cd into the sourcedirectory and execute the following commands. Please note the different configure instructions for Intel or PowerPC based Macs:

Not very sure with what the author wants me to do. I downloaded the source file, un"zip" it. Run terminal and try to just paste watever code he posted there. It doesn't work.. lol.

A check with official mysql installation file doesn't actually have this "Extra" step.. So do i actually need to complete it?

* i start to miss my Windows now... dummy-proof*

if only i knew such "packages" exist, i wouldn't had to read thru all those guide and user manual for all night long (plus trying to figure out how to use Terminal)

I was cursing all night long; "How the heck to work with this Terminal thing..... windows just click click click" .. lol

ed0gawa,
I'm using default airport and thus far i haven't had problems connecting to my office network nor my home network; both through wifi connection.  Also, was able to get online at Starbucks @ Borders this evening.

Er.. looks like I managed to succeed with uploading the image... except it's a little big though.. *oopS* but what the heck! so as long as it works! kEKekek....  whistling.gif
*
I have to hunt for more "open connection" and try... so far all no luck.

Well, actually i managed to "connected" to 1 network.. but i can't online or browse other PC in the network...

** hunt for more.. lol

Erm.... is MAC OS slower in file transferring?
Well, i read at other thread that MAC OS is slower when BT-ing ..
And now i am using IRC to dl something, from the same XDCC bot, my PC is able to get like 80Kb/s while on this MB .. it;s getting only 8-9Kb/s

Wonder it is my connection problem or . . .

lol.. got a fast transfer this morning... but... it is funny

Bot A - PC slow, MB fast
Bot B - MB fast, PC slow

but my MB connection with IRC server is very unstable.. d/c often, while my PC is always connected

Ok.... do i need any special configuration to connect to WIFI (router) ?

Couldn't connect even to "open" connection (searched with iStumbler), then try to connect to all those "open" connection. But then.. connection fail.

I just click on the wifi icon and select connect to that network. Didn't do any tweaking to the configuration... Am i doing something wrongly?
