ed0gawa,
Try using the trackpad. It may be a little inconvenient at the beginning but I think you'll soon get used to it. I'm getting used to mine though at this point i can't say i prefer it more than the mouse.

It sure takes awhile getting used to the 'right-clicking' of the mouse! *grins*

How long can the MB last w/o a power supply actually? Cz mine doesn't last that long. Even for the usage of surfing the net, it can only last <3hours.

ed0gawa,
Don't carry your MB out until u find something to put it in! I'm trying to get used to the trackpad too but find it a hassle when it comes to the clicking. I don't mind *grins* the scrolling though *g*

I'm a little under the weather so have left the MBP of mine all on its own the last few days or so *b*

ed0gawa,
You may need to get a mini-DVI to VGA cable to connect it to your college projector if your MB doesn't come with one.

I use an MBP (actually, I just got an MBP - i haven't really started using it yet!) and it comes with a DVI to VGA cable which will enable me to connect it to a projector. I'm assuming it works the same for the MBs except the MBs output is via Mini-DVI whilst the MBP is via DVI.

I think it's RM119 at MacAsia. Remembered asking and their cables are priced similarly.

Doesn't the MB come with it?

I am following a guide on http://switch.richard5.net/isp-in-a-box-v2...ql-on-mac-os-x/
Did all the part till the author says

To get the shared libraries you need to do another step which might look a bit drastic but it solves any issues you might encounter in compiling the rest of your applications. You need to download the Source to MySQL 5, it's the tar file called mysql-5.0.26.tar.gz, unpack it and open a Terminal session where you cd into the sourcedirectory and execute the following commands. Please note the different configure instructions for Intel or PowerPC based Macs:

Not very sure with what the author wants me to do. I downloaded the source file, un"zip" it. Run terminal and try to just paste watever code he posted there. It doesn't work.. lol.

A check with official mysql installation file doesn't actually have this "Extra" step.. So do i actually need to complete it?

* i start to miss my Windows now... dummy-proof*

if only i knew such "packages" exist, i wouldn't had to read thru all those guide and user manual for all night long (plus trying to figure out how to use Terminal)

I was cursing all night long; "How the heck to work with this Terminal thing..... windows just click click click" .. lol
