Hi all. Thought of ditching my glasses and researching now.

My question is the below, and hopefully can get some advise from all the sifus here.

Is iLasik (https://www.vista.com.my/pages/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/P9-web-ilasik2-pamp_A4-kkliu.pdf)
and
Relex Smile (https://www.optimax2u.com/relex-smile.php)
the same thing?

just comeback from Vista Eye Specialist Puchong (PFCC)

They said my cornea is thin and 50-50 chances i might able to do Lasik
So they might offer me to do implantable contact lens (ICL)

need to do 2nd assessment to know if i am really suitable to do lasik or not

went to Advance Vision Eye Specialist

My cornea is 504um thickness (at borderline to proceed TransPRK)
However my eye is dry today, so the result might not accurate 100%

Quoted Rm5588 for both eyes

Did anyone go here?

After reading of so many unsatisfactory result and complications from lowyat, reddit, and other real life friends, I made up my mind not to do any surgery to my eyes. Just spend more money on better spectacles (1.74 Aspheric, blue filter, Hoya glass, Oakley frame) should be better than taking the risk. 95% satisfaction rate is not high enough, if 99.5%, then I can take the risk lah.

-7.00 both eyes.

I have heard one of the reddit member said that even though he has side effects (holo, glaring, etc)... but the doctor report it as a success. So for a 95% success rate, it include those that are not so successful. And then there's others under reporting cases as well. Those that have unsatisfactory result after some time didn't actually report it and accept it as part of their life... so these are not reported as well.

Hi, about eye laser procedure, what risks are there and how high ?
Any chance of total blindness after it or permanent side effects?
Any pain during the procedure ?
Worth the risk and cost or not and who should do it ?
Thanks

I have been wearing spectacles all my life. I’m dreaming of a day where i can go without it. Been thinking of getting Lasik done for many years but I’m very afraid of the complications 😫 I don’t want to lose my eyesight

You can try to see if your eyes qualify for it first. Don't have to commit immediately, just let the doctor see if your cornea is suitable.

I did Relex smile in Optimax TTDI with Dr Stephen Chung last Saturday (3 days ago).

My vision on my dominant eye was good, can see far clearly and sharp (I guess should have 90% and above). However, my left eye still cannot see far clearly, a bit blur and can't see any small word within 5 meters ( i guess only 70%).

May I know how long does it take to get a perfect vision?

Hi everyone,

Im actually thinking of doing LASIK however adviced by doctor not to upon check up because theres risk of keratoconus after the LASIK. instead the doctor advised me to do ICL.

My eye power is -1.8 left and 2.0 right. Has anyone with the similar eye power done it before?. i've read up on the forum but most of the people that did it has higher power (-10.0+) just wondering if anyone with lower power has done it and what is the halo and glare effect on lower power ICL or the halos and glare are the same irregardless of the power?

Many thanks for answering

Seems like Vista is kinda promoting ICL at the moment? I went to inquire + free initial test (using machines) = and conclusion was that i am suitable for both lasik and ICL (subject to the more comprehensive test), but staff was promoting ICL, saying it has no dry eye issues etc.

For anyone that is curious, current promo = RM98 for comprehensive eye test and RM4998 per eye for Ilasik (cannot qualify for the standard lasik lol sad)
ICL = RM7998 per eye (with astig)

ANYWAY, decided to follow a fellow lowyat's recommendation and booked a more comprehensive eye test with Ara Damansara Medical Centre instead. Let's see how it goes. smile.gif

My issue is cornea thickness is thin/on par
so lasik doesnt qualify, how about yours?
