Well dude, a word of advice, watch your back in Aimst..
Lotsa unhappy things occurred during my stay there b4..
For foundation in Sc student, not all lecturer is good..
Better listen to those good lecturer and PRACTICE~
laugh.gif

And btw~
They are taking 700 students again like last year?
There are only 200 medical seats, 75 pharm n 65 dentist..
Not yet minus sponsored students..
So please think twice b4 applying for medical there..
My friends mostly got conned by em already..
Get the pointer, but say kenot enter..
LOL~
Lucky I never go there so I cant judge..
But just be careful la..
I do not want to see more people kena trick lol~

Sorry if it sounds a bit offensive..
I do not want to offend any Aimst-ian here..
I respect most people there and i made some frenz there too during my short stint there XD

5 years for MBBS, 5 years of serving the government...  u will be around 29 years old....

u impress the government well during your 5 years of service, then let them send u overseas for the specialization. specialization is not cheap u know...
if government of malaysia send u for specialization, then u sure ada quality punya. then u no need to worry about not being able to get a job overseas.

if u have the cash, go straight for overseas mbbs program la.
*
5 years of MBBS + 2 years of housemanship + 3 years of compulsory govt service. However, you could start enrolling into masters training or external exams (MRCP etc) at the second year of your compulsory govt service.

And it takes time to explain about getting recognised and working abroads as a medical doctor, what i would like to tell is even getting accepted into first world countries are extremely time and money consuming. It's a near to impossible pathway if you're a local graduate and a non-citizen of that country. And so far there's no such thing as govt sponsoring you abroad for specialization, almost all our medical degrees here are not recognised by any of the first world countries. The only sponsorship the govt has for post-grad studies are JPA for the local training programme.

Therefore, the only pathways for specialization a medical doctor in malaysia currently is to apply for local training programme (MMed UM,USM,UKM) or external examinations (MRCP, FRCOG etc).

Hope these clarify the doubts and misunderstandings here.

Actually, i don't think you need to buy. Seriously
There are about 200++ students there,
you can just ask them to give you for FREE , as they won't use the books again,
and might just throw the books away, especially those stay in Johor or Sabah.
I have seen a lot of students threw the books away. Trust me. smile.gif

anyway, for those who wanted to buy the books with price cheaper than the original, do inform me
the books are still in good condition, don't worry
yup i'm not that generous to give the books for free whistling.gif

btw, if you buy the textbooks, i'll give you along the workbook and lab manual FOC

if i got the marks la..if not, well i gotta get out of aimst then
but it's very hard though since aimst foundation is not really recognized
do you know any other universities that accept aimst foundation?
besides, with 200+ students, i don't think the teaching system will be efficient, too many students!
