Guys, esp those yet to enroll into the foundation programme who wishes to pursue their medical degree in AIMST later on, i'm sorry to say that but the quality of medical education here at AIMST is deteriorating.

There are serious lack of lecturers, little/insufficient clinical exposures, and bad management which causes many good lecturers departing to other unis. It's a sad scene esp for us, the clinical students to see.

I wonder if they could manage the coming 200 students in the next medical batches. Very very dissapointed with the school. So i'd advice those who are gonna enroll, think twice.

I do not know about the physio programme, but if you asked me about their medical programme, i'd say i'm utterly dissapointed.

I'm also a student whom were once proud of the school because of the strong team of faculty members, but now it seems that many of them are all going off and non of the good ones are being hired. Also, i believed we do not have the capacity to accomodate the massive intake of 200 students per year yet. Esp in the clinical side.

Dentistry yes. First and second year of basic clinical sciences basically consisted of the same team of lecturers from FoM.

I'm not sure about other courses, but sadly to medicine it's getting worst.

that's a quick about turn?........just a year ago, you were enthusiastic about aimst.........

that many lecturers left?......

well, you feel the difference, because you experienced the early part of your course where it looks good, and notice the difference now...........

for many students, they have no basis for comparison, and they can be in a lousy place, and thinks it's great.......that is often the case with russian graduates.......they don't realise how bad they are till they start work in msia and then they realised there are HUGE holes in their knowledge and training......sometimes......there are some with no insight.......

It's a sad truth but yeah, we enrolled ourselves during the days where everything was perfect and lecturers were telling us how good the school is. Esp after the trasition from pre-clinicals to clinicals, only did we realise that our clinical school now (which plays a more important role) aren't that good. Many good professors whom previously taught us went away to some of the local institutions, and many of them gave us a bad feedback on the school, which lights up the rage in us.

I guess the management does play a big role in the school, and the sad truth is that it is very much politically controlled. The only thing we could do now is to do very much of self learning and to be more proactive during the postings. We've sent in many feedbacks but has not gotten any reasonable replies from the dean yet. Probably the letter should be written directly to the management, MQA and MMC?
