Did you call to find out the MCC for AEON Supermarket?
Just curious as it was not accepted as Grocery by OCBC Ti and now not accepted as Department Store by HL Wise. So what is the MCC

I've made calls to HLB awaiting feedback on the actual MCC code for these AEON transactions ......

As I know, MCC 5311 = Department Stores / MCC 5411 = Grocery Stores

True enough.
If one purchase a Rm1000 tv from Tesco in one swipe, one still have to fulfill 9 x > Rm50 for nothing inorder to qualify for CB, hence effectively reduce the CB to 6.9%. It would have been better to use mbb2amex if it is on weekend to earn 7.5%.

As said before, save the TNB bill for Mbb2Amex to earn 7.5% if u have one. Choose other category like petrol or groceries instead.

be careful on departmental category. cs tell me that not all the department store under MCC 5311 get the rebate. only the one mentioned will get the rebate.

for grocery, all mcc 5411 will get rebate. i try it at vy small supermarket and i call cs to check the mcc code. it is under mcc 5411 and i get the rebate last month for my transition at vy small supermarket which accept credit card.

Now, no space for me to use maybank AMex unless i got to departmental store to buy.

Thus, we need to re-verify with OCBC Titanium also.

HLB CS check of MCC needs to hold about 2-3 mins

Gee...!! so damn confusing. Got to find out AEON IOI mall (Supermarket) too. I thought it is under departmental and used MBB2Amex to pay. If it this under groceries MCC 5411, then can use WISE card to pay liao.

I will test AEON IOI Supermarket with OCBC Titanium for Grocery. You can test with Wise to reconfirm my results

received sms from 66600, For Aeon, ONLY Aeon Big is classified as groceries.

I checked my statement, true enough i bought groceries at Aeon Jusco - no 10% rebate!!!

Which jusco ? If MV Aeon supermarket is MCC 5411 then HLB must pay CB according to TnC to card member opted groceries.

Which category you chose for your WISE ?
What category was stated in the Statement ?
Which AEON Supermarket ?

For those who apply thru groupon...which gift did u all opt for...

better choose groceries for the cashback categories, use AMEX for any departmental store. To be safe, choose both groceries and department store as your cashback category

HLB should allow us to add another category..... then it will be "almost perfect" card (for me)

I still spent more on OCBC Ti rather than HLB WISE card due to the 1% CB on all other transactions.
If WISE card give 1% CB to non selected categories, sure can tapao OCBC Titanium kaw-kaw liau.

AEON Supermarket - IOI Mall uses MCC Code 5411 (as reported by OCBC). That means it is under Groceries.

Let's say we swipe on 31 May 2013, and posted on 2 June 2013.
Is the 10% Rebate calculation meant for May or June ?
