yeah for direct streaming agree with you kinda suck laggy stream for 720p at twitch , dailymotion also buffering
sometime i need to use default maxis dns to get fast streaming but some web still the same slow
i have no problem with this p2p from nyaa, publichd, tpb, asiaT,daddicts
i cant read chinese word if i do i would try those china streaming website

i used to be hardcore gamers play alot of FPS games COD, BO2 , CS:GO
after change maxis i rarely play this game because the "ping" haish...

if unifi got 10mb package at the same price as maxis i will change immediately..

actually maxis can monopolized the market if they could just pay attention to what the consumer wants
1. low ping
2. no capped for torrenting
3. no caped for streaming
4. no capped for P2P file sharing
5. dont block site unnecessarily

thats all i am asking for

Astro IPTV run a a different bandwidth "line"

imagine inside the fiber optic got many small wires
then they will use one of the wire dedicated for IPTV
this is what i understand lo... but i might be wrong

im not in that area but if you dont play online games and dont do lots of torrent and can survive with ping >150ms then go maxis else unifi. AREA is not in the equation for choosing between unifi / maxis

Well.. frankly speaking it gonna be like a hit and a miss... Some user reporting good service and some user reporting bad... Ping for online game is bad compare to even streamyx... And some user reporting cap speed when using p2p apps...

hmmm. I'm guessing there's more of a bad service than good. Sigh~ thanks for sharing anyways, maybe i should stay with unifi.

However, maxis iptv and maxis fibre package sounds to tempting... haihhhhh! headache!

Like I said it's a hit & miss... My only issue with maxis fiber is high ping for online game... I currently don't have any issue with p2p (torrent the only I use (in b4 some angry bcoz I post this))...

Also Maxis IPTV available already..? Still can't find a way to register it except for ROI only...

Hey guys. I'm currently using 1mpbs streamyx and can no longer live with such slow speeds, so i'd like to upgrade to fibre soon. Now my questions is which should I choose? Should i go for UniFi or Maxis Home Fibre?

Can you please list down the pros v cons of the two?

From what I know or understand so far, maxis home fibre seems to be the better deal because it's 148/month for 10mpbs while unifi is 149/month for 5mpbs?

I'd also like further info;
1)whether installation service, etc is free or charged
2)which is more stable? i seen people complaining about unifi being slow while I also see people saying that maxis fibre doesn't allow torrent or p2p.. and then there are people saying that maxis home fibre ping is high? Is this true? as I often play online games and this would be bad right? yawn.gif
3)does unifi or maxis home fibre cap torrent speeds?
4)and what about add-ons like for example unifi got the hypp thingy.. I tried reading it myself on the web but I don't really understand it :s

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I have came across TIME also.. It seems TIME kills off unifi and maxis home fibre without a doubt.. 100mbps @ rm180/month(100gb quota) or minimum is 8mbps @ rm130/month(unlimited, not even a "until furthre notice" it's just plain unlimited) .. anyone have any say on this? Hmm..
