Hehe. Together buy then. By anyway, I think even without the kit lens is only Rm100-150 less. Might as well get the kit lens.

wa brother...18-200mm wor...not cheap eh... can get the AF micro nikkor 105mm f1:2.8 liao although our camera dunno can use the micro lens or not...

n use it on a D50?? would it be a waste ar?? just the lens itself can buy the D70s body only liao

What is the price for D50 kit right now anyway?

the cheapest price that cfyung85 bro surveyed was RM2400 (Body + kit lense)

but that is at shangrila...we r now plannign on bulk buying in either tarita or boeing or maybe others depending on how low they will offer but of course their eyes will be as big as this when they c a normal individual coming to buy so many dSLRs

anyway i finally kumpul enough money to buy my first ever dSLR liao have to lelong so many of my useless stuffs through lelong to raise the funds anyway this saturday after i bargain KAU KAU with the shopkeepers, we'll discuss when we all r free n settle with cash then we storm the shop together

Let me know what the bulk purchase price is ok? I'd like to keep up to date with this model - maybe can get for my sister. I promised her an SLR if she scores flush As for SPM.

wa...form 5 only got SLR liao so jelous man... she in photography club in her school? nowadays seldom heard girls will be interested in big bulky bulky camera like SLRs. thought they go more for slim stylish cameras

but D50= made in thailand
D70s= made in japan

edit:p/s i manage to inspect some display sets on camera shop shelves and that is what ive found.. and after researching few images from teh Net, it seems there are d70s made in thailand as well.. so dun think my post is countable as well haha XD

Haha my sister is the president of her school's Photography Club! Right now she's only shooting with a Sony S60, but she's always complaining about its poor close-focusing ability. So I told her to work hard and she'll get something better one day ...

PS: D70s made in Japan? But the D70 was supposedly made in Thailand too right?

poor close focusing capability??well in that case i think u should oso buy her the AF micro nikkor lens as a replacement. that lens is fantastic n i bet your sister will be soo happy she'll jump up to the sky but i dun think got another "poor guy" will be happy hope u get what i mean
