I want to buy d50. When are WE going?

So late you guys buy. How about this weekend? Haha. =)

KRW > Ken Rockwell. Apparently he likes the 18-55 better than the 18-70. KenRockwell.com.

Anyway, yeah, it's hard to find d50 body only. What's the cheapest price around ar? I'm here in ioi mall, puchong and the shop here selling for RM2500 with the lens kit. Without bargaining. So, when bringing in the Japan one?

Can't wait... err... hands itchy.

50mm 1.8d and the 18-200mm vrII lens. I doubt got. Anyone knows where I can get these?

Hehe. Together buy then. By anyway, I think even without the kit lens is only Rm100-150 less. Might as well get the kit lens.

Updated mine. See got nice price on dry cabinets too. Small one la. 20-30 litre maybe.

Man... a feature from the d50 that's missing is the flash commander. Now i'm considering is it worth an extra RM1000 to upgrade to the d70s? decisions decisions....

About Rm700-800 for an sb-600. Then RM350-400 for the prime.

But that's besides the point. I really could use the flash commander feature. And in order to do that, I need to either get an sb800 + another slave or su-800 commander + another slave. Either way, the cost about the same as getting a d70s. This is an important feature for me. And from what I've heard, d2x doesn't have this feature either. Hehe.

As for glass, yeah it's important and i'm already planning the 'upgrade' path. Hehe. But the 18-55/70 kit lens is fine with me to start with but I'd rather just get an all rounder 18-200vr, a prime and a wide angle.

Anyone selling their d70(s)? =)

Important to me because I use a lot of flash photography and moving the flash off the camera wirelessly is rather handy. No, not setting up studio with a bunch of sb-800. Hehe. Though I'm also interested in portraiture photography. (did i spell that right?)

Yup. "Studio-type" environment. Anyway, why would you say flash bracket and chord is better? I would imagine wireless is the way to go - don't have to 'tangle' with wires.

Wei, what kinda reasoning is that? What am I going to do with a d200 body without a lens and without anymore money? =) But seriously considering changing to d70s. I'm trying to source for 2nd hand.

Filter? For landscape probably all you need is a polarizer.

Decided to change from a d50 to a d70(s) only because of the flash commander system. So, with an extra RM1000 more, I get:

4. White balance fine tuning
5. 2nd command dial
6. 0.5 FPS more
7. LCD plastic cover
8. illuminated top LCD
9. hard button for bracketing

and to top it off, a more expensive 18-70mm lens. So is all this worth RM1000 more to you? That's for you to decide. For me, YES!
