Hi guys I'm planning to go to Singapore to work hope I can get some answers from ur to get me started. Help pls:
1. I just want to work there don't want to be PR so I don't have to fill that form up right?
Yes, dont need to apply for PR if that is not your intention
2. So the working pass the company will do everything for me right, when they accept me after interview or I must do it?
Yes, the company will help you apply. Normally they will give you an appointment letter that states the 3-6months probation prior to job confirmation, job position, working days & hours, benefits etc you be entitled to after confirmation. However whether you be employed or not, is subject to the medical check which you are required to undertake as part of the work permit requirements.
3. My expected salary I think I'm gonna get there is sgd1500. So the CPf and taxes will be deducted straight from my pay or I have to save my self then pay it when require?
CPF is paid by locals and permanent residents. For taxes, the company should be helping you pay the taxes in accordance with IRAS guidelines.
4. Room rental sgd 600 does this come with personal toilet? This price range housemate won't be bangla right???
This is dependent on location, type of room. Housemates, you cannot choose as its the landlord who choose to let out the rooms to the tenants.

No. The appointment letter is just a formality that indicate the company's interest to hire you and spells out your job scope, etc and says hiring you is subject to your medical check. Work permit is a green laminated card which will have the type of permit on it, your particulars, foreign identification number, the company employing you and card expiry date, issue dates.

For tax, you can look up at www.iras.gov.sg I think it's a yearly thing. Other than that, I can't remember anything else. Can ask other bros here.

The company doesn't help u pay your taxes.

Some companies will help you report your income for the year directly to IRAS. Then you will login to IRAS and declare other income, tax deductibles, etc. IRAS then sends u a letter telling u how much to pay, and u pay either lump sum or by monthly installments. Note that SG got no PCB like Malaysia.

I would say it is extremely difficult if not impossible to get a room with toilet attached for that budget. For that money you're looking at utility room (small room with bed cupboard desk and no space to put anything else).

Maximum deduction for insurance + CPF contribution is 5k IIRC. If CPF contribution is over 5k, cannot deduct insurance already. Only life insurance can deduct I think. Can read at the same place where you declare, click the "!".

IF you declare, pay less tax. Total income - insurance premium paid - other things = income to be tax.

Speaking of insurance, if your Malaysian life insurance company has an office in SG, you can also claim that. I think is using the conversion rate listed in IRAS. Since some are not PR, that is the only other deductible since we don't contribute to CPF.

Any one have any experience with that ? Mine is Prudential Malaysia.

for the application of working pass, usually the company request you to fill up the form after signed the offer / confirmation letter or before that? Because last week I went Singapore to attend few interviews, and one of the employer seem like got interested to hire me and ask me to fill up the form for application of working pass. Is it in right procedure?

Yes, the company will do the application for you. Ask for the IPA (In Principal Approval) from the company before coming over.
SGD1500 is pretty low if you ask me.
