QUOTE(garytey @ May 21 2013, 10:46 AM) been follow this thread quite sometimes, you guys rocks. If all the taikor here is yielding good profit, means NAV price is high. How sure are you that it is not near peak when you are buying in. Just some thoughts to share lately i have some spare cash of RM10,000 thinking to invest in UT with FSM, with a subsequent top up of RM2k per month. is this a good time to go into market? it seem everyone is yielding some good profit at the moments |

We can only deduce that the ABC had made an NAV loss of 1% during the 1-month period, but you cannot say that it is "cheap".Reason? Go read Post #1 What I was saying is that market is hot right now. So what if when during his buy in, the market is near peak? |

Read abt IRR from this threads, i googled IRR....
this site http://hadm.sph.sc.edu/courses/econ/invest/invest.html says: "It is often assumed that higher is better for both of the net present value and the internal rate of return. In particular, it is usually stated that investments with higher internal rates of return are more profitable than investments with lower internal rates of return. However, this is not necessarily so. In some situations, an investment with a lower internal rate of return may be better, even judged on narrow financial grounds, than an investment with a higher internal rate of return. " ??? what does it mean?? This post has been edited by yklooi: May 21 2013, 11:40 AM |

Didn't bother to read thru the wall of texts, I'm on flu medication this site http://hadm.sph.sc.edu/courses/econ/invest/invest.html says: "It is often assumed that higher is better for both of the net present value and the internal rate of return. " ??? what does it mean?? From what I can glean from the glance through, the article is more relevant to project analysis, not so relevant for investment analysis. Just go to the last paragraph... |
