That's correct, depending on how long the Fund House takes to credit FSM Nominee account.

To Wong, Kaka, Pink,
I know you guys probably get to a lot, but just asking because normally when you all discuss fund all I hear are names As you all already probably know, I'm bought in AQ end of last year and thinking of finding a equity fund to is expose to global equity (US, Europe etc) since AQ is already expose to Asia ex Japan. What would you guys recommend? Thanks |

Ahh, yes. Pacific Global Stars (PGS)
Had my eyes on PGS and OSK UOB Global Equity Yield, I favour more towards PGS due to his holdings in consumer product (including tobacco). Sadly I think they sold off their shares in some of the tobacco company I believe. I noticed something which I can't seem to explain too. Back in 2011, AQ yields a 6% returns while PGS perfomance drops around 12%. Anyone know what's the story? |

I'm satisfy with the performance so far. today spend few hours planning how the eggs going to different basket I still thinking of Hwang Asia Quantum, high risk..but quite stable for the past 10years! @pinky, how long you hold HAQ, is it satisfactory UT-that u no regret bought it? I want to keep 25-40% on Bond, but not sure what is the best choice now, since Amdynamic close aldy..any suggestion? I gotta utilize the 1% SC for first 30days opening account..so for now i guess i will purchase those UT that normally 2% SC. btw FSM SG now have no SC at all-permanently |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Apr 15 2013, 10:05 AM) Just my opinion: My opinion is a little different than yours. If u already have a portfolio of equity funds, within which already got Asia Ex-Japan fund, u could consider to go for a pure MY equity fund. Benefit - U can monitor and see CLEARLY the relative performance of each region. E.g. Malaysia underperform against Asia Ex-Japan or vice versa If pure MY equity, Eastspring Investments Equity Income Fund also decent. FYI, OSK-UOB Emerging Opportunity is also a 70/30 fund. I have a AQ fund which is Asia Ex-Japan expose, but I'm currently looking for a GEM fund instead. |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Apr 18 2013, 11:28 AM) HwangIM has track record in managing volatility. I remember me and you said we will invest in SOF since last year. Haha!Hwang SOF - max 30% overseas (not limited to Asia Ex-Japan, it used to have some US stocks) OUET - max 50% Asia Ex Japan OUEOUT - max 30% Asia Ex Japan, small caps only U decide based on the above, see which suits your portfolio and risk appetite. I also plan to buy HSOF + OUEOUT for my EPF a/c 1 investment. |
