Thanks for the feedback! That's good to know. I think I'll go for the Diono Radian 3R then. How has your experience been with the models that you are using?

So far so good.
If u plan to install a child car seat in the rear middle seat, u maybe need to use the vehicle seat belt becoz most car here dont have isofix in the middle rear seats. U need to check what type of car seat belt u have (ALR or ELR). From my understanding, most of the cars in Malaysia uses ELR. If your car seat belts are ELR type, u need to use the provided locking clip to secure your child car seat. And this process is abit tedious.

By the way, where do u plan to purchase this Diono Radian 3R?

I see. Thanks again for being so helpful! biggrin.gif I will pay attention to that when shopping for a vehicle. I have used a different car seat with an old proton before so I've used lock clips - yes, I agree that they are a pain to install. Had to rely on youtube videos to figure that out.

Did you need to use the Diono car seat angle adjuster to get the car seat to fit into your car in rear facing mode? I saw some reviews suggesting to use that for smaller cars that don't have enough legroom to accommodate the car seat as it is quite long.

I'm currently overseas so I plan to buy the seats here and bring them back to Malaysia.

If u are currently overseas, u have more choice. I would suggest u to buy the Diono Radian Rxt for the head wing feature. It provides better side impact and your child can lean on it when taking a nap.
There was a Diono recall last year. U can read about it in the internet. About 500k Diono child car seats was affected including mine. If using Diono car seat forward facing with 5 point harness, AND without top tether attached AND the child is above 65 pounds, it is affected by this recall. Their solution is to give a remedy kit (newer chest clip and energy absorbing pad). I see most pictures in the Diono website have changed to the newer chest clip. So i believe those child car seats manufactured recently are using the newer chest clip and energy absorbing pads.
When u purchase the Diono child car seats, try to select or ask for recent make Diono child car seats. Each Diono child car seat will state the manufacturing date on the car seat.

Currently i am using maxi cosi for my newborn baby. As baby grown up, I need to buy another car seat that doesn't require isofix and can be reclined for rear facing so she can keep her head back for sleeping during the long journey driving. Can suggest 1 for me ? Thanks...

Hi, i am wondering if everyone buys car seat for newborn to 4 yo or the type starts at around 9 months to 12 years. I m in dilemma now donno which to look at. A friend has passed me a car baby carrier (quite new, bought one year ago) and i wonder if can use until 9 months, then only change to 9month to 12 years? Or i should take car seat expiry date into consideration?

I just bought maxi cosi Titan pro that can be used up to 12yo. So far baby (17m) likes it. Was thinking to get a rotation type but only can sit up to about 4yo. If baby is tall maybe until 3yo++ only then have to get another booster seat. It’s not cheap to get a good brand. End up I bought the Titan pro.

If you are driving a RM400k car, just pick the most expensive one. Anything less, just go to mudah and search for the cheapest baby seat. This is the lesson I learned after give away my baby chairs total worth more than RM7k.

I am currently using joie stages for my child. The car seat itself is great, from infant to 25kg. Only problem is that it is not isofix mounted but seat belt. When I see the new joie stages which is isofix, I noticed that the seat is higher because need to accommodate the base. Is this common with isofix seats?

We just bought the wrong car seat in recent Baby Expo. At first we set our eyes on Evenflo but somehow were told the warranty is for 1 year only. Then we went to another booth, warranty for 3 years. Then we came across Picardo. We were told they're giving 5 years warranty and the model we looked at can be use either with Isofix or just seat belt. We told them very specifically that our cars are non isofix.

This is our first time buying car seat and despite reading a lot about car seat. We made a mistake. It was hectic day, raining hard and I was week 26 and tired so probably clouded my judgement. I am usually careful when purchasing stuffs.

Yesterday, we took out the car seat. Manual is inside the packaging and voila, it says the model is supposed to use with Isofix+seat belt TOGETHER. Not either!!

We are simply at loss now, what to do with the car seat. There's no latches to fix the seat belt below, just the upper side. No hole for the seat belt to go through. Buy a new one? Or demand a refund because they lied to us?

Once or twice? It's okay.. This much and this being a new account.. Seems like you are just here to spam this link. Not going to hit the report button, on the off chance that you aren't being spammy. But if the same website is suggested again?... sweat.gif

Sorry to hear of your hassle.. Mine's isofix equipped with top tether, so this should work fine.. Mind pming me more info about it.. Particularly the warranty bits. You in KV? As I might be interested.

anyone else in this post had any review on this car seat ?

will it fit my axia ?

There are a few YouTube videos of it and I'm also trying to pull up other website articles on it.. Try to find an independent review. As for if it'll fit in an Axia? I suggest you first get the seat's precise measurements and compare with the available space in your car.

My hubby is driving Myvi and we thought it's a little cramp. While baby should be no problem, but if grows up tall, probably have to change.

Your statement doesn't make sense. Why cheaper car cannot get expensive child car seat? And expensive child car not necessary means better child car seats.

I dont get it. What do u mean by your car only have the upper side latch? So does your car comes with Isofix? Please specify every isofix (anchor points) and seat belt type of each rear seats so i can advise u further.

Update:
Couldn't find the Picardo swirl 360 manual on the internet. Based on the picture and video, the base can only secured by Isofix. They also made an error. Their definition of seat belt installation is actually referring to top tether. I think if your car does not have Isofix, u are unable to secure this child car seat in your car. May i ask why did u decide to go with swivel type child car seat?

First, we went to the booth specifically looking for car seat for non-isofix, to be install using seat belt only.
We were introduced this model, as they told us this can be used EITHER with isofix or seat belt. So if we in future change car, we can install it in isofix way. (Which we have plan to change car sometime next year, but of course we told the salesperson, we want non-isofix model. We did not confuse him and did not tell him we have plan to change car).

This is not the first booth we visited that has model for use on both either isofix or seat belt, so we did not doubt it. We know we can only use the swivel function if install in isofix way, we were planning to just install it as-is using seat belt, not going to to turn front and back all the time. There are clips at the back of the seat for latching seat belt but it does not seem to make it with our car's belt length.

Now my concern is according to manual (inside the packaging), this model should be use with Isofix + tether belt for newborn rear facing.
I don't know what to think but I will contact their office for demonstration since they insist, it can be install rear facing just using seat belt too.

It is very simple, if you have so much money to waste, may as well change a better car, because car is the primary thing and baby seat is secondary. Driving a myvi or vios type of milo tin car use ori recaro for what reason? 1 big hit front and rear passengers all tapao. The only function of baby seat is to secure the baby in place not to show off how much money you have for buying a baby seat. Any amount of money you can save now can use for investment or put in saving for the baby's future education fund or at least buy better milk powder for him/her or whatever. Why wanna behave like those people with RM2-3k salary go to buy iphone x? Now iphone xs come out how? Baby chair is not going to become outdated as fast as a phone but the growth of baby is fast for no doubt. a million dollar seat won't last forever. Further more due to the eco friendly material, after you keep it for 1-2 years never use, it will start biodegrade itself. But for those who can afford expensive luxury new car people, a high end baby seat probably cost just as little as their 1 month car installment or 1 time service cost, so the the function of baby seat not only a baby seat but also a decoration for their cars.

If you have a baby and should start to learn what is live within means. The road is still long and you don't know what's waiting in front of it.
