Hi, i am wondering if everyone buys car seat for newborn to 4 yo or the type starts at around 9 months to 12 years. I m in dilemma now donno which to look at. A friend has passed me a car baby carrier (quite new, bought one year ago) and i wonder if can use until 9 months, then only change to 9month to 12 years? Or i should take car seat expiry date into consideration?

We just bought the wrong car seat in recent Baby Expo. At first we set our eyes on Evenflo but somehow were told the warranty is for 1 year only. Then we went to another booth, warranty for 3 years. Then we came across Picardo. We were told they're giving 5 years warranty and the model we looked at can be use either with Isofix or just seat belt. We told them very specifically that our cars are non isofix.

This is our first time buying car seat and despite reading a lot about car seat. We made a mistake. It was hectic day, raining hard and I was week 26 and tired so probably clouded my judgement. I am usually careful when purchasing stuffs.

Yesterday, we took out the car seat. Manual is inside the packaging and voila, it says the model is supposed to use with Isofix+seat belt TOGETHER. Not either!!

We are simply at loss now, what to do with the car seat. There's no latches to fix the seat belt below, just the upper side. No hole for the seat belt to go through. Buy a new one? Or demand a refund because they lied to us?

My hubby is driving Myvi and we thought it's a little cramp. While baby should be no problem, but if grows up tall, probably have to change.

I dont get it. What do u mean by your car only have the upper side latch? So does your car comes with Isofix? Please specify every isofix (anchor points) and seat belt type of each rear seats so i can advise u further.

Update:
Couldn't find the Picardo swirl 360 manual on the internet. Based on the picture and video, the base can only secured by Isofix. They also made an error. Their definition of seat belt installation is actually referring to top tether. I think if your car does not have Isofix, u are unable to secure this child car seat in your car. May i ask why did u decide to go with swivel type child car seat?

First, we went to the booth specifically looking for car seat for non-isofix, to be install using seat belt only.
We were introduced this model, as they told us this can be used EITHER with isofix or seat belt. So if we in future change car, we can install it in isofix way. (Which we have plan to change car sometime next year, but of course we told the salesperson, we want non-isofix model. We did not confuse him and did not tell him we have plan to change car).

This is not the first booth we visited that has model for use on both either isofix or seat belt, so we did not doubt it. We know we can only use the swivel function if install in isofix way, we were planning to just install it as-is using seat belt, not going to to turn front and back all the time. There are clips at the back of the seat for latching seat belt but it does not seem to make it with our car's belt length.

Now my concern is according to manual (inside the packaging), this model should be use with Isofix + tether belt for newborn rear facing.
I don't know what to think but I will contact their office for demonstration since they insist, it can be install rear facing just using seat belt too.
