Depends on the car seat being used.. Logically, any seat used for extended periods of time will damage the underlying seat to some degree. There are seat covers you can put down first though.

I read some website say that putting seat covers is dangerous, that's why I'm confused.

A thin blanket or towel will do nicely.. Personally, I don't use anything...but then, the car seat is ISOFIX connected, comes with a base and steady leg too.

Looks like not many people has a clear mind like you. When I had my first baby, I buy all the best thing I can reach, including a brand new SUV. But after that then realize I was wasting money because more than half of them doen't make sense at all. I don't know I changed how many BBA free milk bottle set because the plastic color turned slightly yellow within 2-3 months and end up with I realize there is glass bottle with rubber liner which is safer than any plastic bottle because 100% no chemical will release to the hot water when making milk. Trolley is another thing that wasted a lot of money as well. End up with the best one was the cheap one because of the size when folded up did save a lot of car boot space.

I think I wasted total RM20-30k because always thought that branded must be good and price does reflect the usefulness. It was totally wrong. But I didn't expect many people nowadays still fall onto the same trap I fell before, since the social media already so advance. If time can be reversed, I rather donate the money to those unfortunate persons, at least that guaranty will no regret and able to talk about it for the rest of my life. My 2nd and 3rd kids came out several years after their big brother and use only cheap shit that served the purpose.

thank you for the sharing. my wife just delivered our first baby boy last month. i have spend so much in order to get the best of everything for my newborn. now that you have said this, i should have take one step backward before buying stuff and ponder upon is there any other related products which is fit-for-purpose rather than just being branded/pricey.

Sadly, my leather seat have indentations when I take the seat out for vacuuming. Just dents, the leather doesn't cracked, no creases & still intact. Maybe over the time it will go away, I wouldn't know coz my kids still need the child & baby seat for many more years.

Hi, I'm new here. My son just 6 weeks old now. I'm looking for a baby car seat. Currently I have my eyes on chicco keyfit or keyfit 30. Anyone used this car seat before? I will be using it on perodua axia 2017. Or is there other recommendation?
Most like will be using belt system because I don't think there is isofix on the car. Or I might go get aftermarket isofix system for the car

If you're going to get infant carrier, go with stroller that can fit with the infant carrier, else might as well go for car seat that can support infant, since can be use for longer period. My first child lasted around 8 months in infant carrier, then had to use car seat due to size. Just need to make sure there is space for rear facing.

And before getting aftermarket isofix, incase you're buying seat with fixed isofix base, take note on how wide your door can open and how much room you have to navigate.

Bought nado o3 with fixed isofix base, quite an experience just to install on my car with limited door opening and tight rear space. No issue on wife myvi though due to 90° door opening and big rear space.

Sorry but not a good person to recommend since my infant carrier is not compatible with stroller.

But some infant carrier have adapter to fit different brand stroller, like maxi cosi carrier. Expensive but if you're in luck, can get it cheap on clearance sales like mamours warehouse sale on their display set. Bought mine for 60% less at mamours, and they will clean it up like new for free.

Hi all, any baby car seat that can last beyond 0-4years old? Did some research, seems like most can only last till 4 years old.

Thank you for sharing

I recently joined in on a joint gift for a friend who had a baby.

We bought her a Britax BabySafe iSize and Britax B-Agile stroller.

A good one to consider but you do need a bigger car to be able to carry the stroller as it can swallow up the entire boot space of many cars.

Try Joie Stages.

Most seats tend to be up until 4 years old as in most countries after 4 years old they need a booster seat.
