QUOTE(sean392 @ Apr 15 2006, 11:49 PM) if u consider it as RM20 per pc for the woh fatt's DPDT = RM40 for a pair... vs 3PDT at US$14.10 (RM53) a pair from diystompboxes. so its 13 bucks less. but looking at the difference, i'd rather go for the 7 bucks extra per 3PDT switch. |

QUOTE(nerd @ Apr 16 2006, 12:57 AM) now somebody here wants some ! some buttsecks! c'mon ledzep, sean, heat up em guns! grrr! I also used the wrong parts , such as the wrong input cap, bloody shop supplied me the wrong one. sean take note. so i went to buy a breadboard, and learnt a little on how breadboards work. i tried about 3 rounds on the breadboard, then on the final round, the circuit worked. em, there was sound, rather than the last times, when there was even any guitar sound, which showed the circuit is complete. but theres a problem, when i turn the pot around, it doesnt seem to have any effect on the sound. and when i max out the pot, the sound turns soft, thin, and farty. at least there is sound now, im gonna have to find out why it isnt working properly tho. QUOTE(nick_drake @ Apr 13 2006, 04:22 PM) hmm...looks like we're not alone... i feel much better that way. you can just try both switches 1st before you guys make any bulk orders. 3pdt switches are alot easier to make true bypass pedal. DPDTs aren't that expensive.... im bloody sure you can get it cheaper else where. 20 a pop is fuking ridiculous.yes evo.com, for the sake of whatever we're trying to achieve, we need more people coming together and sharing their info and knowledge. everyone does their bit... a question for you evo.com, while your're still around online. the 3PDT at aron's is almost double the price of the regular smallbearelec's DPDT. which should we go for? im thinking of dpdt, to save costs, cause the millenium bypass can be built cheaply. but the delivary for the smallbear dpdt's cost a bomb. whereas aron's 3PDT's are much more reasonable with international delivary. or we could just order dpdt's and hook up with any relatives there who are coming back to malaysia in a while. btw, the jalan pasar people are a tad notorious aren't they? hahhaha..well..just like any street.. EDIT: btw evo, its alright to de-solder the parts again right? they wont be damaged by heat or de-soldering right? dont wanna waste the parts soldered wrongly on the pcb. yea you can desolder the components. |

Just wanna check, do we all need 3pdt. most of the schematics i know runs on dpdt. Still back to the question of what kind of effects we wanna build. 20, well, its a little cheaper than ordering online, those 3PDT's. well, i gotta get my project to work first on breadboard, its farting when i max out my volume on the guitar. and scratchy when i turn my guitar volume. If we're gonna do effects, anyone thinking of building amps? JCM800-2203? |
