hmm. i drew ur layout out, its kinda big. but its okay. are the metals themselves costly? cause rm30 is a little on the high side for me, no offence to effort on your part though. i just thought that the switch is already quite expensive.

btw, i pm-ed the doctor at the headphone amp club. see if they have other options.

haha, yes, i know its still costs less than a real pedal, but the whole idea of doing things diy is to get it done at a fraction of the cost. well, that's one of the objectives, other than getting the sound u want and the satisfaction. if i am going to spend close rm60-70 per pedal, it kinda defeats my purpose,at least in my own opinion...

i know RM30 is kinda on the high side. I havent actually made the thing yet, but i intend to keep RM30 as the maximum limit. I hope and I expect it to be lower since I'm gonna be making quite a few instead of just 1 or 2. The more I make, the cheaper it can be. if i'm making like 5 or more i can put a price of around RM15-20.
Please don't expect it to be like 10 bucks. Remember last time my aluminuim case for my AX1500G effects? that costed me like RM80 for all the materials and components, (alu L brackets, alu sheet, corner edging/feet, handle, latches and hinges, foam, etc).

The box is too big? I though of that size coz i was wondering how much space do you need inside it for all ur components, the connectors, pots, and stuff. and i intended to make it 120mm long so that you have ample space between the switch and the pots, so that you wont in any event, accidentally stomp on the switch as well as the pots.
The width and height I dont think I can change, coz thats the size of the aluminium box column, but the length i can make it shorter than 120mm as per ur suggestion, how long do u want it to be?

i think ur measurements should suite fine...
cause its close to a boss pedal which i'm actually looking for also...

actually taking into consideration the size of other possible pedals to be built, 120 is alright. the muff is kinda big.

btw i have bought the mint tin. its working out fine for now. tho i cant complete my booster cause my solder iron is broken..

if muff, i think u need wider case... or, u squeeze the whole circuitry into that small area la.. hahaha
test ur soldering skills.....
