Ok then...
3PDT Switches from http://www.diystompboxes.com/cart/int.htm
USD14.10 per pair, plus shipping USD1.60 per pair.
Therefore, USD15.70 (MYR58) per pair. Translates to RM29 each.
1. MetalZone (2pcs)
2. nick_drake (2pcs)
3. MoNnY (2pcs)

who else?

good initiative. but i think u got the prices wrong.

if u check the normal orders for USA page : The price is $6.25 each.
http://www.diystompboxes.com/cart/

if u check international orders : Shipping costs to other countries is $1.60 for two switches which is not bad at all.The total cost is $14.10 for a pair of switches. The minimum order is 2 switches.

so thats 6.25+80 cents=$7.05 per switch. $14.10 per pair INLCUDING delivery.

nah its simple. metalzone just added on another $1.60 onto the 'already included shipping' price, which is $14.10. so that makes $15.70.
actually, $14.10 already includes shipping. smile.gif

btw, whats the exchange rate , metalzone?

You're right.
Exchange rate is 1 USD = 3.66119 MYR at the moment.

Then this shud be it:

3PDT Switches from http://www.diystompboxes.com/cart/int.htm
USD14.10 per pair plus shipping.
Converted MYR51.62 per pair. MYR25.81 per pc.
1. MetalZone (2pcs)

ok guys. bad news.

i emailed aron from diy stompboxes. i asked him if it'd be cheaper to lump all our orders. he said yeah, maybe you cld save a few bucks, depending on how many he can fit into the flat rate mailer. and he gave me a link.
http://ircalc.usps.gov/intl_speed.asp?
CID=10265&MailType=envelope&Pounds=0&Ounces=10

my guess, that it'l be shipped with Global Priority Mail - Flat-rate Envelope (Small) at $5.25.

so i asked aron, so is the shipping 80 cents per switch or 5.25 now?

he said its $5.25.

yeah...80 cents for delivery was a little too ...little..

dammit.

sad.gif

now lets see if he can fit all our orders in one envelope, i highly doubt.

thanks!

shall try that.  cause i read in forums, that the right way to solder is to touch the solder tip to the hole's copper ring, and touch the solder on the ring, then it'll flow...so must use solder paste to achieve that? or dont have to also can?

thx. smile.gif
*
yup that's the right way. the solder paste is not a necessity, but it'll greatly ease your soldering job. the solder will easily flow on the surfaces and stick to the contacts.

QUOTE(chanti-sama @ Apr 19 2006, 06:34 PM)
just tell them solder paste and they'll know?

izzit better than the usual solders strips?
*
no idea about the solder strips, never used em... but i think there will be no problem when you just ask for solder paste.

the thing will look a bit like this...

Thanks for the enquiry.

I tried calculating the order with the "Add to Cart Order 3 or more 3PDT Switches (Just type in 3 in the Qty field for 3 switches, 4 for four switches etc...)". It still calculated it as 1.80 per pair.

We'll see how many orders we can gather and see how it goes.

3PDT Switches from http://www.diystompboxes.com/cart/int.htm
USD14.10 per pair plus shipping.
Converted MYR51.62 per pair. MYR25.81 per pc.
1. MetalZone (2pcs)

3. MoNnY (2pcs)
4. led_zep_freak (2pcs)

so far all in the list are in klang valley area right?

yes metalzone. i understand. the cart shows 1.80 delivery per pair. which does not correspond with aron's statement of $5.25. i dont quite get it.

i shall ask him again to reconfirm.

lets not take risks with our money here.

ok this is what aron said

If you let me know how much you want, I can invoice you for the total.

Aron

i said i'll find out how many then.

this is his reply.

Thanks.

The cost to ship is really more than 80 cents for 2 switches. It hasn't been 80 cents for a couple of years now since USPS raised their rates. In fact, depending on where I ship, I have to take a loss on the shipping but I do it because it would be too painful to have to to constantly calculate shipping based on every single country. The only reason it can be shipped a little cheaper is due to a flat rate mailer.

In almost every case the online shipping guide at usps has been quoting too low.

Let me know if you decide to order.

Thanks,
