3pdt switches are better imo. Can make a pedal true bypass with no effort at all. Simple as cake
Be prepared as you probably won't be able to get a noise-free fully functional pedal at your 1st attempt.

Wahs are simple to make but the components are quite pricey. Not worth it imo.

totally agree with the shipping for those DPDT switches. i think so far that's the hardest to find. went through the entire jln pasar, was told that they dont stock them anymore, only those plasticky ones.

okay guys, just went to wohfatt today.

DPDT stompswitch(they call it wah switch) is at rm20 per piece.
i asked them if i order bulk , any special price.
best is, 10 pieces above, rm.18.50 a pop.

not much difference man.

but , phew, finally a place where there are switches..even tho not 3PDT.

if u consider it as RM20 per pc for the woh fatt's DPDT = RM40 for a pair... vs 3PDT at US$14.10 (RM53) a pair from diystompboxes. so its 13 bucks less. but looking at the difference, i'd rather go for the 7 bucks extra per 3PDT switch.

yes actually DPDT, SPST, 3PDT etc are available in many forms including toggle, relays, and push type. but for stompboxes you need to specifically get those metal push types, coz... well... the name stompbox explains it. you "stomp" on the switch. toggle switches just dont cut it. and plastic push switches will break over time.

yes metalzone. i understand. the cart shows 1.80 delivery per pair. which does not correspond with aron's statement of $5.25. i dont quite get it. 

i shall ask him again to reconfirm.

The cost to ship is really more than 80 cents for 2 switches. It hasn't been 80 cents for a couple of years now since USPS raised their rates. In fact, depending on where I ship, I have to take a loss on the shipping but I do it because it would be too painful to have to to constantly calculate shipping based on every single country. The only reason it can be shipped a little cheaper is due to a flat rate mailer.

In almost every case the online shipping guide at usps has been quoting too low.

Well... RM25 per switch is pretty discouraging lol!

dammit. he hasnt replied. i think he has gotten sick of me.  let's just send in a bulk order of 8. if the delivery is $5 , its still alright. and if we pay whatever is stated on the paypal invoice. that way we wont go wrong.
