our car has already installed with immobilizer, it would be very difficult to steal it unless by towing.. correct me if im wrong..
my sa said that, even the korean engineers also dunno how to jump start the car without the smart key.. dunno if this is only sweet talk of my sa.. but all in all, our car has the immobilizer, it is good enough to me..

using locktech will be double security for those who still feel insecure on the car security.. no harm doing so.. just get the good locktech from thailand..

I think is sweet talk. They curi BMW and Merc also possilbe. They just plug in the special device into ECU socket and get the engine start easily.

yeah, i think so.. nothing is impossible.. for me the immobilizer in the car would make it very difficult to "normal" car thief to steal car..

my sa once told me that the smart key cant be duplicate somewhere else, only by naza/kia or authorize dealer..
at one time, the car can only has 2 smart keys, lets say once you duplicate a key (auhthorize), then you found the lost key, the lost key wont be functioning..
what you can do is get back to your sa or go to any kia/naza branch/office for your problem.. if im not mistaken it will take either 2 weeks or 2 months upon availability of the smart key.. then they will duplicate the smart key.. bare in mind that the smart key is unique for every car..
and the damage for this is around RM300/key, if im not mistaken..
well, u can ask for your sa, or any authorized naza/kia dealer for clarify.. hope it helps..

Not that expensive... Few hundred only... I think somebody post it earlier... just flip few pages back... Even supported by SA... Unless you want to change the whole module then it will take thousand... If just the key only I don't think it will fetch thousand...

our car is already 1300kg, it is heavy..
lighter rims indeed giving good acceleration because using less power at wheel.. if im not mistaken, our car power output in catalogue is based on the crank, not on the wheel.. when accelerating the car, it would slightly give better performance.. this is what i believe..
however, heavier car is very stable at high speed and cornering.. will be improved if you lowered your car summore.. but this only applicable if u take sharp turn on high speed.. IMHO

Yup.. RM300 is too cheap.. But I dont't think will go up to RM800 laa... It is not a Merc key where it keep all the data inside the key...

Agreed that the weight of the car (inclusive of stock rims) will get the momentum going...but if you noticed, it takes quite a distance for the Forte to come to a full stop!

My first impression during my first highway run back to hometown was, "Wah, cannot simply tailgate cars on the highway already coz it's quite difficult to put the Forte to a stop in the event of an emergency situation."

IMHO, my first mod will most prolly be better brake pads first (besides changing the tyres once they wear out).

Using Silverstone.. ? even u change ur brake pads for better stopping power, your stock tires lagi cannot grip on the tarmac and slips/skids even more easily eventhough ABS and BA system kicks in which makes the system harder to control the tire grip..

better grip and quality tires makes the safety stopping and traction feature ABS, BA, ESP does their work more effectively..
