Hmm..i'm not sure u compare it with what car..but i drove the Civic 2.0, Lancer GT 2.0 before & oh ya..a Sylphy, all i can say is those car's pick up are more or less the same. Civic 2.0 got the best acceleration from my observation. Lancer GT is the slowest (in acceleration) however (Sorry Lancer owners..it's just my own observation only). So, to say Forte 2.0 engine is weaker than others is not a clear statement i believe. Anyway, if we are looking at the higher low end torque/power, the supercharge/turbocharge/twincharge cars are the way to go  tongue.gif

I did speak to other 2.0 owners before, we are quite aware of what our engine is capable of. Probably its just the way it's tuned. I really don't know, I was just thinking about the other 1.8 units. Not even the 2.0 really. But yeah for low end torque like you said, forced induction is the best still.

I am sure 2.0 have very noticeable difference stronger torque than 1.6 in all rev range.. test driven for 5 times already..
*
haha i knew you still sure step in and kantoi biggrin.gif ..sure 2.0 is STRONGER la...$$ also pay more, not to mention FC and Roadtax tongue.gif

Not replacement for displacement.

1.6 consider no bad la with nowdays CCVT DOHC technology

Not necessarily Bro,  the lumps from T and H are quicker to go even for their 1.8 units. Don't know it's due to the rims or the heavier weight,  whatever it is not much can be done as this is the way it has been tuned.
*
Yupp..agree with u regarding the rims & weight argument. I also believe that gear ratios also play its role here in order to get quicker pick up pace..though for Lancer & Sylphy, the term 'gear ratios' might not applicable...

Latest i heard, K3 will be around 10k higher than existing Forte and still maintain 1.6 & 2.0. and 2.0 will using new engine.

The launching date is end of the year somewhere around October ~ November 2013.

But again, I "heard" oni.  biggrin.gif
Talk about RV. There is a 2011 car 1.6sx sell at 68k on Jan 2013 (actual transaction) and sell within 2 day. The demand of 2nd Forte quite good and hot, especially for 6-speed car. Dun expect when K3 launch forte 2nd hand value will drop a lot. tongue.gif

Force induction is not NA. We talking about NA power...there is no way you can increase your performance unless u increase the displacement.

the 1.6 NA engine performance are about the same for most of the OEMs... the gear ratios do play important role as well.. see below the 1.6 engine performance curves on gamma and toyota's.... the torque are about the same on the rpm range...

if you really want to feels the kicks at low rpm, get the turbo charged engine smile.gif
