Is this normal when drizzling happen ?? Aircond direction WAS BLOWING direct to passenger..(no windscreen nor leg) blush.gif
[attachmentid=3311392]
*
this should not happen if the aircon mode is blowing directly to passenger.. did you feel the aircon flow on the rest of the ducts (windscreen side)? if no, then there should be something wrong with the aircon ducting system (could due to the motorized flap actuator failure)

umm if minor maybe leave it since i think the fix is not easy....
*
if you can get along with that, then ok lor... the HVAC module is a very bulky system fitted in the dashboard... but if your car dashboard has the rattling sound problem, then you can send to the SC and demand them to fix.. one stone kills 2 birds smile.gif

Yupp..agree with u regarding the rims & weight argument. I also believe that gear ratios also play its role here in order to get quicker pick up pace..though for Lancer & Sylphy, the term 'gear ratios' might not applicable...
*
the 1.6 NA engine performance are about the same for most of the OEMs... the gear ratios do play important role as well.. see below the 1.6 engine performance curves on gamma and toyota's.... the torque are about the same on the rpm range...

if you really want to feels the kicks at low rpm, get the turbo charged engine smile.gif

2.0T was just a concept and never in real product. Again we don't have native 2.4 Theta II here..if yes would be FUN  rclxms.gif  and all 2.0 owner will be diam diam kekeke...
*
bro.. turbo theta engine does in the production but not available in malaysia.. the 302Nm torque comes in @ 1700rpm.. so you can imagine how fun to drive biggrin.gif

Dear Bro
All fortes facing road nose issues. If the Korea midsets is like what you said, the this is part of the reason the RV of Kia cars. We cannot compare samsung products with Kia Forte . We can change samsung products every year but we cannot affort to change our Forte to new K3, K5 etcs

if we accept the Forte is like that (like Malaysia said proton car is like that ) ,then we better don't buy Korean car .
After reading your sentenace, I am start to worry  my 3 months old forte , the road noise is terrible .....so noisy ......

We need to bring out our right .
Sorry If I offend any body ...
*
bro.. i agree with you as we as the consumer has the right to express our needs and expectations.. perhaps we could sign a petition on the common problems and send to NAZA Kia, or even to KMC Korea... i believe their HQ is really concern on the customers' feedback and they are driving very crazy to all the suppliers quality, i've been to Kia and Hyundai facilities experiencing the bombardment.. perhaps our CKD models material selection has been downgraded and Naza would know well... how about with CBU owners, are you facing the same road noise problem?

Wah..which means that she's got the CBU model lah? Nice!
I second the motion to write/petition Hyundai-KIA Motor Corp.
But before we do so, we'll need to compile a listing of:

1) Common problems affecting our vehicle (hopefully about 1000 vehicle-owners)
2) List of Petitioners (which will require the inclusion of VINs)

Please feel free to add anything else to the list.
*
so bros... should we start this petition, which I think we could make use of "www.petitiononline.com"..?
common problems:
1. car pull left
2. dashboard rattling noise
3. headlight water condensation

i once lodge a complain to the SC in sg. petani on rattling noise and they verified, and its deteriorating... so the person in charge said they will revert this complaint to Naza Kia and after awaiting for so long without any respond from them, i followed up with them again and now they replied the technical people from Naza (Kia) need to accumulate all the problematic vehicles before coming for resolution... what a lame excuse!! i was in rush that time and did not want to argue with them.. furthermore i'm working abroad now and wait until i get back in the coming months, i will taruh them kao kao.. vmad.gif mad.gif

i think only la, i am not pro. sweat.gif

if traffic jam, on idle 2.0 use more petrol.
if stop and go, stop and go, 1.6 use more petrol if got passengers inside.
if drive smooth, 1.6 better.

if budget is not a problem, get 2.0 with extra airbags, which are valuable and cant be added later.
2.0 are more powerful, if u like to vroomm and like cucuk cucuk brows.gif

agree with you bro.. driving 2.0sx is more fun as you can get more torque than 1.6sx at lower rpm, apart from the additional safety features. not forgotten the EPS that ease your steering maneuver when parking..

Any 2.0 owner faced steering vibration when steer during parking or at still?
I'm not sure is it normal or not, but it never happen before..3 months old car already.. blush.gif

QUOTE(bennedict82 @ Mar 22 2013, 01:36 PM)
I did encountered same problem also on 1.6SX. Donno what went wrong.

But now it gone... Dont know what has helped. I tried Ron97, different petrol Caltex / BHP Ron95, Sent for service last month, Installed FireStorm.

Now no more or very little vibrate only.
*
2.0sx uses EPS for the steering, which is driven by electric motor. not too sure the vibration in your context, but i guess is the very very minor "clicks feel" which resulting from the electric motor that the engineer calls it cogging torque.

1.6sx/ex that uses hydraulic type power steering would rather feel engine vibration (but could be negligible too) when turning the steering wheel because this power steering pump is belt driven by the engine.

I can't tell exactly. For my case, it get reduced a lot. Some other said will come back after few months. And then some lucky guys never hit this problem.

Well, also many other brand having rattling sounds if unlucky. Yes forte is quite obvious.

Also depends on service centre kung fu  too.

Before I bought this car, I also heard rattling sound during the test drive. So I did prepare for this problem before I bought.

bro, mind to tell which SC you sent to resolve the rattling noise and how many days you need to leave your car? thanks.

Sorry to tell you it is in Penang but not KL. sad.gif They asked me to leave for them 1-2 days. But I insist I know where the sound comes from and asked them to fix that part only (air con vent beside HU). So they just opened up my HU and both air-con vents and add more adhesives to the clips.
*
thanks! i'm from sg. petani actually.. i went to the SC in sg. petani and they gave me very terrible excuses... so gonna try any SC in other area.. since the SC you approached have resolved the rattling noise, i assume they have the experience already and thus wanna give a try there.. thanks..

I see. Didn't test the side seat yet. Thanks bro.

if you use isofix type car seat, would fit all the 3 seats at the back.. conventional type could fit front passenger, and both rear side seats.. my maxi-cosi fit the latter one smile.gif
