Latest i heard, K3 will be around 10k higher than existing Forte and still maintain 1.6 & 2.0. and 2.0 will using new engine.

The launching date is end of the year somewhere around October ~ November 2013.

But again, I "heard" oni.


Talk about RV. There is a 2011 car 1.6sx sell at 68k on Jan 2013 (actual transaction) and sell within 2 day. The demand of 2nd Forte quite good and hot, especially for 6-speed car. Dun expect when K3 launch forte 2nd hand value will drop a lot.

1.6 will remain using existing Gamma engine. 1.8 version not confirm but if ON possible using Euro II engine (from Elantra ?)

I m using Forte 2.0
When I drive my car more than 110km/hour, I can hear sound like wind blowing, from passenger side. I sent to SC, but cent detect the problem. Anyone has similar issue and know how to solve it?
Regarding the rattling sound from dashboard, can it be solved? My SC said they do not received any solution for it yet from Kia, so they do not dare to repair it as afraid it will cost more problem. But my fren at Ipoh SC can service it by installing something. So is there a way to solve this issue?

Do you have sun visor ? Was told it was caused by it if you have installed....rattling they will remove the part and bubur with foam or double sided tape alike stuff...

can't compare bro, the only similarity of the THETA II and lancer's engine is the block itself, whatever that's inside is another story on its own, pistons, etc. the performance of the 2.0 is a really weak one altogether (power comes in late at 3k rpm onwards as anything below that feels rather flat)..other factors come into play too, the gbox, the ECU etc... what i can say is the 2.0 needs more boost on the low end

how do i connect the ipod cable ?
i've googled and the existing ones are like [ipod connecter <-> usb and audio]

my cable is different it's like [ipod connector <-> ps/2]

show us the photo of ur cable.

open your glove compartment (dashboard) inside (tepi..kanan) the compartment got one port to slot in the cable (ps2).

Hmm..i'm not sure u compare it with what car..but i drove the Civic 2.0, Lancer GT 2.0 before & oh ya..a Sylphy, all i can say is those car's pick up are more or less the same. Civic 2.0 got the best acceleration from my observation. Lancer GT is the slowest (in acceleration) however (Sorry Lancer owners..it's just my own observation only). So, to say Forte 2.0 engine is weaker than others is not a clear statement i believe. Anyway, if we are looking at the higher low end torque/power, the supercharge/turbocharge/twincharge cars are the way to go

My 4 speeder is CBU..hopefully able to fetch good RV

I used to have the wind blowing problem as well but after I replaced my windscreen sebab pecah kena batu, the problem solved.

happen to me also..sound like airplane going to take off..
could it be door visor, tire, body design or else? not sure bout dat..

btw, I just successfully claimed and installed a new windscreen. (after more than a month waiting for the stock)
feel regret need to wait dat long.

So bro, does this means the 1.6 6 speed has same low end torque with 2.0?

I am sure 2.0 have very noticeable difference stronger torque than 1.6 in all rev range.. test driven for 5 times already..

NA engine usually comes with this kind of characteristics. Go for supercharge/twincharge cars if want higher low end torque.

Not necessarily Bro, the lumps from T and H are quicker to go even for their 1.8 units. Don't know it's due to the rims or the heavier weight, whatever it is not much can be done as this is the way it has been tuned.

definitely not Bro, the 2.0 lump is more torquey.
