so it means our local market sucks. that it cannot survive without gomen help and can't be competitive against other countries.

Basically, most of the big corporations are mainly own by EPF or PNB, if not then Khazanah or other state own funds

The same thing the EPF guy would say in the press conference this weekend...

So I'm not surprised...

Even during ASM 1 dividend announcement, same thing would be said by the big boss....
*
Unrealistic & picking an easy target comparing a fund with more than 50% in equity market to FD

Risk profile alone is way much different already

Higher dividend lorh 👌💰🤑

I think easily 6%

But I suspect some hanky panky going on...

They divert some to the other type to increase take up rates

Meanwhile ASNB fund managers: ok one competitor down hu hu hu

Anyone double checked the dividend vs self calculation?

Got RM0.02 short vs what was credited

As I have no in or out during the year I took 2022 closing x 5.5%

thank you everyone, i've gotten the calculation method now. sweat.gif

Hope you've got your calculation sorted out

Me finally able to 'tally' my calculation vs credited (It will have a RM0.02 diff if just take the 2022 opening total x 5.5%)

My case is rather simple as no IN or OUT within the year

Apparently the calculation is performed on A/C 1 and A/C 2 separately, by month

2022 opening x no. of days in month x 5.5% / 365 (repeat for A/C 1 and a/C 2 for 12 months) and rounded to 2 decimals

So far everything you read is 'speculation' & 'what is expected' published by so called 'experts'

Nope.
But there's many so called insider information spreading around...

All indicate around next week period...

And with i-akaun being under maintenance... Just link the dots 🙏
*
Hopefully not like the div rate totally out from the 'expectation' it was initially 'predicted' grin.gif

No comment on that...

But what I know...

If you lurk around EPF socmed... All spamming about when account 3 withdrawal can be done... All desperate for $$$....

So EPF better upgrade their system to withstand the super heavy load when account 3 in action 🔥🤑💰

ok next year got one more 'reason' for lower dividend whistling.gif

I do respect the choice of some EPF members who like the flexibility of withdrawing money from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3). Their money, their choice.

Then again, not all EPF members would need to withdraw money from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3).
Ratio to be implemented by EPF on 11 May 2024    : 75% will go into Akaun Persaraan, 15% into Akaun Sejahtera, and 10% into Akaun Fleksibel.

Preferred Ratio for those who do not need flexibility: 75% will go into Akaun Persaraan, 25% into Akaun Sejahtera, and  0% into Akaun Fleksibel.
The preferred ratio is just a slight tweak from the ratio to be implemented by EPF, and is almost similar to the previous ratio of 70%:30%.
How is it practical for those who do not need flexibility, to keep on submitting the physical “Borang Pindahan Simpanan Ke Akaun Persaraan/ Akaun Sejahtera” on a regular basis, to EPF? Imagine the extra workload to be handled by EPF on this matter.

I think they don't anticipate that many people will do this (transfer from acc3 to acc1/2), because there's no benefit doing it.

If really so many people do this or make noise about it, they will make the option available online.
