Money going into EPF account like brrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Voluntary contributions on the rise

EPF’s voluntary contribution schemes — i-Saraan and i-Suri — are now seen as viable long-term investments, increasingly popular even among those in the informal sector.

Voluntary contributions rose by 62 per cent in 2024, while active membership expanded at a faster pace than the overall labour force.

Chill boss...

Won't be anytime soon.... For 80yo retirement age....

Not in our lifetime..... Maybe next 2 future generations to come.... My great grand kids time probably 😬

Worry for what

Last time also said wanna review subsidy and become targeted subsidy with all the PADU hoohaa

Result, become MORE subsidy grin.gif

Anyway, mandatory retirement age will impact more on those don't want to stop working

Even Govt servant can apply early retirement anytime they want

EDIT: *Not exactly anytime. Min 40yo with min 10y of service.*

PADU.... that is one crap project... waste time and waste energy... luckily I refused to participate...

its ok to change mandatory retirement age if it allows flexibility... but when they reduce flexibility is the issue here. imagine setting a higher retirement age, and informing all the civil servants they cannot receive any pension before said new age... see they make noise or not.

even now retirement age is 60, if you chose to retire early say 45

your pencen still come once you turned 55

so will it be revised? at least not when they up from 55 to 60

Foreign interference 😞

Let us decide what's the EPF withdraw age...

Don't need to increase to 65yo.... Maintain status quo is good 👍

Ini duit hasil titik peluh kami hak kami nak pakai 55 tahun siapa awak orang luar nak masuk campur grin.gif

BTW for the i-saraan incentive of RM500. Does it split according to the % into each account or...? Just out of curiousity

Normal lorh...

If can, 50yo want full withdrawal.... Or like during COVID-19 time.... Special withdrawal....

As for that rm500...
It's credited directly into account 1.... No split like self or mandatory contribution...
*
aiyah cannot withdraw part of the RM500 early then devil.gif

Why I got feeling....
To minimize backlash....

Only applies to new EPF members???
Like the proposed EPF annuities scheme thingy....

Existing members have options to opt or not 😑
*
even civil servant pencen also same when such huge revision made also only affecting the new joinee or joinee since year xxxx, not one whole lot affected one. old bird usually got exempted.

I read back the article...

It's mentioned start withdrawal from 65...

So basically.... Proposal is No more 50yo & 55yo withdrawal....

So 50 to 65 for partial

60 to 70 for Full ????

😑
*
Suggestion only

Govt not obliged to follow

If even want to implement also will kena kaw kaw first

One side people  maximize their 100k yearly limit, and keep asking for higher....

Another side, saying I'm not enough $$$ to survive monthly.... So seeking more withdrawal from EPF account....

One more side, why EPF shifting goal post.... Making  those with 1mil above cannot withdraw their $$$....

Finally.... Another group of people keep saying why EPF giving so low dividend.... I want to withdraw & invest elsewhere that can outperform everything.....

Basically No one for all solutions.... Different people different opinions & objectives.....

btw... Still no news on Q3 2025 EPF results as for now....

Despite all the noises

Come to the end we still see strong confidence in EPF from the spike in voluntary contribution

There are a lot of rich Malaysian that we all don't know saja
*
not talking about wealth

moreover if compared the number of individual with high deposit in EPF over Malaysian population is still very low

the influx is more on trust despite all the rumours and also recent decent payout vs other similar risk vehicles like another member mentioned above
