While it happened with our neighbour CPF and from governance side is good effort to extend the withdrawal to allow for longer retirement fund, realistically with our politics, govt, taking care of core voters, allowing constant withdrawal, etc. it is very unlikely to happen. Even if it happens, EPF needs to set a cut-off, e.g. those that start contributing from age XX onwards, or only the contribution from year 20xx onwards.

It's not hard to add a New Account 4 and 5 (70-30%) to replace Account 1 and 2, that doesn't allow for full withdrawal. Or move existing Account 1 and 2 into Account 4 that allows full withdrawal, and then change Account 1 and 2 that doesn't allow full withdrawal by age 55.

Does anyone know when SG CPF change from full to partial withdrawal policies ? Is it blanket immediate or is there a cut-off year or age? Or is it not allow full withdrawal since beginning ?  hmm.gif
For house loan reduction has been like that for decades. I can understand the monthly withdrawal is to show monthly home loan repayment to the finance/bank for standard non-flexi loan last time.
Perhaps the system was coded that way back then eons ago and no enhancement since then.

Wah...Account 1,2,3,4,5. Last last also no point salary still low, each account receive RM10. tongue.gif If Account 4 and 5 got most money later, same people will cry want to withdraw Account 4 and 5. The right thing to do is to NOT TO ALLOW WITHDRAWAL. But all politikus no will power to do the right thing.

I think is true. Previously a forummer also reported epf earmark the full 12 months despite monthly withdrawal.

Therefore it would be better do withdrawal manually every month through e-pengeluaran.
*
QUOTE(Wedchar2912 @ Jan 7 2024, 03:18 PM)
I just hope when the day come that EPF disallowed full withdrawal past 55/60 and forces all of us to take monthly withdrawal, that EPF changes this policy of not accruing div on payment yet settled due to monthly fixed withdrawal.

else it is blatantly stealing...
*
QUOTE(prophetjul @ Jan 7 2024, 03:37 PM)
Sounds like EPF scamming the auto withdrawals.
*
Learnt something new today!!! I will remember to do only manual withdrawal, early in the month!

epf dun scam your dividend lah just because monthly auto withdrawal... if they want to, can just increase management fee... lol...

y'all getting too phobia... the new uncle aunty of 50 yrs ago... lol
*
There is enough evidence to show something is going on. Until it is proven otherwise, there is no harm to do manual withdrawal. No difference than the other online transactions i do every other day or so. Probably automated monthly withdrawal is when you cannot move already, lie in bed all day, waiting to die, then ok lah, auto monthly withdrawal.

Oh, saw the news already!! 😍 Up Up Up to the moon!

There's not only Black rock but other ETFs as well, slowly surely all going to be approved one by one.

But right now it is still a very high risk asset. I really don't want my EPF money to have significant investment in this. Myself I play with money I can afford to lose outside of EPF is good enough.

This year probably same thing too..

Many speculation going on... Especially the 700mil given out... And it's impact on dividend...

Need to "cooked the books"??? 😏
*
For sure Kantoi my 6.25% prediction. 700mil given to people who don't save, no planning and withdrawal EPF until finished. While those who planned, work, save diligently are punished.

6.5% also I'm having some doubt 🧐🤔

But many those so called analyst says it's possible....

Those analyst also said RM will bounce back to RM 4.30 to USD 1 in December 2023. Now in Jan 2024, they says RM will bounce back to RM 4.30 in December 2024.

I rather trust unkers in Kopitiam tikam than "economist" and "analyst". Makan gaji buta sial.

Shes been a millionaire afew years already, and thats what she told. Other my millionaire friends cant confirmed since they didn't really bother to check their statement.
I asked Bard (chatgpt equivalent) and it also said the same.
*
Pretty sure that is wrong. Maybe she don't know how to calculate. If there's contribution throughout the year, those contribution will have lower returns due to proportion to time frame ratio.

It's not I have 1.2mil inside, the. It's 1.2mil x 5.25%. You previous years closing gets the full 5.25%. say 1 mil. While your RM200k this year will be proportionate to ratio.

wedchar2912 bro got comment?
