yaya.. til 30th of June 2013.. what I concern is whether the rebate of RM80 has already ended long time ago
(Note: * The rebate is given on a first come, first served basis and subject to availability. )
*
Well, to me that's not important for now.
Let's just hope that your application goes through as you know OCBC doesn't easily give approvals for their OCBC Ti.

But what does a degree cert gotta do with a card haihs I already submitted offer letter also
*
This was one of the requirements when I applied for CIMB Direct Access, one of the entry cards for graduates.
I applied that after I got my first job, then already cancelled it last year because it doesn't seem to have any good offers.
For CIMB DA, I could have understood because it was specially for graduates.

So you mean you didn't go through the agents at malls?
*
If you have the time, go to their branch.
I don't have the time and the branch is not near to me, so I went for online. smile.gif

Malls one, sometimes cannot be trusted one because they were there just to get commissions.

my salary is almost rm4k per month.
no house loan, no car loan, never had credit card.
and what i submit is two times thru agent, both rejected and then 1 appeal, also thru agent, still got rejected.
in my file now i got three rejection letter from OCBC.
but they replied quite fast. i received the rejection letter about two weeks after submission.  sweat.gif
*
Usually if you don't have any credit history before, OCBC may reject you straightaway.
This is based on the experiences shared by few forummers here.
Try to get other banks' cards first before applying, that also doesn't guarantee you won't be rejected. I'm one of them. sweat.gif
But at least the chances to be approved later is higher, that's based on my own experience. I have 2 cards before applied for OCBC. smile.gif

Sometimes I opened the statement and forgot to throw it away. sweat.gif My sister saw my bill for last month, 3k+. sweat.gif She went shocking.gif

I have never spent that much on a credit card. laugh.gif Hopefully that was the first and last time to spend that much. sweat.gif

I wonder why OCBC is not environmental friendly...

I don't have any supplementary card, can wait for others to reply or you can check with OCBC CS directly.

Thanks for the clarification.
Just noticed in OCBC portal that I got RM68 yearly fees waived and RM50 GST waived. It has been wonderful 1st year with OCBC-Ti  rclxm9.gif
Hope can maintain spending RM12k per year to continue getting this waived..  sweat.gif
*
RM 10k enough already. tongue.gif
Or you want to maximize RM 50 rebate every month. tongue.gif

Thanks. Its RM10,000 and not RM12,000. More reason to keep this card despite this is the year to cut all unnecessary credit card. Only to keep M2C and OCBC-Ti.
*
I have cut down all the cards and only left with these two, can't find any better cards at this moment that matches with my puny salary range.

For those want to apply for this card, there is a booth set up in KL Sentral (opposite of Burger King). smile.gif
I didn't check out because I already own one and they didn't approach me either. laugh.gif

Maximum rebate is RM 50.

RM 5000 spending x 1% rebate = RM50.

Further spending with this card get nothing. Why need to increase credit limit? You can call the bank and request for credit limit.
*
Well, due to MC's acceptance is higher compared to AmEx. laugh.gif
Anyway, you gave a good point as well.

I better make an effort to ask for Maybank2Card instead. Need to visit the centre soon.
The CL it gave me was based on my salary in 2011 when they offered that card to me, which was 2x lower than what I'm earning today. sweat.gif

any road show for this card recently?
thinking to apply 1

The Curve always has it, so you can pay a visit there.
Few days ago, it had one booth in KL Sentral.

Worse comes to worst, just apply from OCBC branch.

My annual income just recently increased to rm 36000 per annul and holding 2credits cards, citibank clear cards and MBB2 cards. I just applied it through booth at masjid Jamek but got rejected and the reason is holding 2 cards with recent annual income that made me got rejected?
*
QUOTE(noien @ Jun 16 2013, 02:07 PM)
same here. i was holding 2 cards as well. got rejected even after appeal.
*
Normal for OCBC Ti to reject, just keep trying. smile.gif
Majority of the holders here got rejected on the first attempt, so just don't lose hope yet. smile.gif

Try appealing again after some months.
