Standard Chartered Platinum also 24k only. Haha.. Plat card nowadays are the qualification of Classic card in the old days.

Im still holding a HSBC Classic. Haha.. where does it stand now?

Well the thing is, minimum for Titanium is RM36K. Plat was RM60K before this, IIRC. So they removed Titanium and lowered the requirements for Plat. Are they getting rid of Titanium altogether?? Or am I overthinking things and that they are just doing some housekeeping on their website? Speculations speculations...
But whatever it is, OCBC is surely up to something this time. In a few days we might know what it is..

I don't understand if they have plan the plan to revise OCBC Ti. It is one of the most difficult cards to get in the market, yet still so stingy. laugh.gif

At least I got mine since last year's May, been using for more than a year and got many benefits. tongue.gif

I hope they will at least retain the 5% for utilities and dining. Petrol and groceries can be covered by Mbb2 Amex.

Last few days many banks are doing some updates and maintenance. OCBC online was having difficulties, Citibank online was down too and now have new interface while they have updated their mobile apps too, UOB was down for 26 hrs. Im thinking they all might have something to do with the Budget 2014 that's gonna announced this Friday.

Why you said it is one of the most difficult card to get? Any specific reason?

You don't see the other CC threads with a template for an appeal in the first post. This is the only thread. Shows you that so many got rejected and appealed. But usually after appeal they will grant you the card, provided you give them good reasons in the appeal. Do update your experience at OCBC later. And if possible try to korek any insiders info about what they are planning to do. tongue.gif

An update on this. My agent has no info abt the 5% cancellation. But he told me that they will be doing no more new sign ups for the Titanium card after 25/10.

So I speculate that Budget 2014 could have something to do with credit card.

OT: It will be very sucky if the RM50 GST is increased further, on the pretext of reducing personal debt

I applied for mine last thursday, the guy who called me also said the same thing, no more titanium card after 18/10. I didn't believe it at first, but now it looks like its really happening sad.gif

Hope my card application is successful, otherwise next best option is mbb2card, but I really prefer a non-amex card though :\

Received a call from OCBC offering a cash back insurance plan for Great Eastern life insurance rm50K, monthly premium rm133 for 10 years and if no claim can get back 105% premium. I've agreed to the plan given that there's 15days grace period to review the policy. Anyone else got this offer? Is it a good investment?
