This card got annual fees or not? The features says

"Zero annual fee
Sign up today and enjoy free-for-life annual fees for both principal and supplementary cardholders"

but on top somemore says
"Principal card: RM68 a year
Supplementary card: RM28 a year
No annual fee for the first year"

So contradicting and confused.

OCBC now is zero annual fees already, they haven't update the old TnC.

Even with the old annual fees TnC, it's auto waivable with 12 swipes a year. Easily meet when using OCBC Titanium.

Oh great to know!

No one will care what bank is it. As long as they accept Mastercard, they will accept ur OCBC TITANIUM. Make sure u call to inform ocbc that u r going overseas n will have some overseas transaction.

So if my statement date is on the 6th of this month, I have to pay on the 26th of this month? Or following month?

What about the 11th and the 15th? If statement date is on 11th this month, amount due on the 26th of following month? Or is there another date?

Just got my card approved less than a month ago so still haven't got my first statement yet. Might want to change the billing date for my card as well.  laugh.gif

Due date = Statement date + 20 days.

I just activated my OCBC card. When I tried to purchase things online, I didn't receive the SMS password thingy but it directed me to a site showing "System is temporarily unavailable, please try again later."
What's wrong?

Normally 23:45 to 00:45 is bank system maintenance hours and no transaction can be performed. So maybe u can try after 1am.

Good to note!! It seems the 5% not only limited to Malaysia and that's what I thought earlier. Thanks for sharing the info.

Darn.... was planning to apply the titanium card this week..... looks like too late to regret now.

The direct link to the GE card is still there but when you click the apply button, there was only 2 options left.

Sigh.

I have a bad feeling about this..  sad.gif
Their Platinum Card page is also a bit weird now. No more listed free entry into the PPL. The income requirement is also only at RM24K.  blink.gif

Standard Chartered Platinum also 24k only. Haha.. Plat card nowadays are the qualification of Classic card in the old days.

Im still holding a HSBC Classic. Haha.. where does it stand now?

Well the thing is, minimum for Titanium is RM36K. Plat was RM60K before this, IIRC. So they removed Titanium and lowered the requirements for Plat. Are they getting rid of Titanium altogether?? Or am I overthinking things and that they are just doing some housekeeping on their website? Speculations speculations...
But whatever it is, OCBC is surely up to something this time. In a few days we might know what it is..
*
Last few days many banks are doing some updates and maintenance. OCBC online was having difficulties, Citibank online was down too and now have new interface while they have updated their mobile apps too, UOB was down for 26 hrs. Im thinking they all might have something to do with the Budget 2014 that's gonna announced this Friday.

I don't understand if they have plan the plan to revise OCBC Ti. It is one of the most difficult cards to get in the market, yet still so stingy. laugh.gif

At least I got mine since last year's May, been using for more than a year and got many benefits. tongue.gif
*
Why you said it is one of the most difficult card to get? Any specific reason?

An update on this. My agent has no info abt the 5% cancellation. But he told me that they will be doing no more new sign ups for the Titanium card after 25/10.
*
So I speculate that Budget 2014 could have something to do with credit card.

Have just called up the call centre and the CS says yes, the card still available for new application.

However, submission through branch will have the GST compulsory to be paid, while application through phone will enjoy the 3 swipes within certain period to get GST offset.

Now anxiously waiting for the application dept to call. smile.gif

EDIT: The CS called, new application until this Friday only. After that they will be focusing on their Platinum card and no more Titanium card. Bout the Titanium benefits, she also has no news if its gonna end soon.
