I'm interested with the new 3DS/XL, but before i take the plunge there's a few questions that i'd like to know.

1. Is the device region locked?
2. Most 3DS games sold in Malaysia are from which region?

Yes there are stuff that needs to be transferred using the internet a bit.
There is also copy pasting from the sd card so that it won't take ages to transfer it using your network. Which takes hours.
I've done a system transfer before when I upgrade mine from normal to xl, which isn't that hard.

Nintendo games are small in size. So you don't need a big one.
My 16gb sd card still has around 4gb left and I bought quite a lot of digital games. 32gb I think overkill already, unless of course you are going fully digital.
I've yet to delete any games so far. Only deleted some demos.

you can use larger size cards. ppl reported even 128GB works for the old 3ds, so the same should applies to new 3ds , as long as it is in FAT32 format

Originally only 32gb were the largest that 3DS supports.
But after a software update, I don't remember which one, you can go up to 128GB.

No need, the normal 3ds also can play it. Just if you playing the on the new 3ds you will get some enhancement.
The only known title so far that will require new 3ds to play is xenoblades chronicles.

Well, for now the new 3ds xl official price for the US is quite higher than normal xl. So I think its safe to say the price will stay
that way for long time unless theres official price slash in future. Btw the price is higher due to the US msrp not because of demand

Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying the new 3ds. I wanted to buy the smaller one, but from what I've seen over the internet there has only been the xl counterpart. From what I know only the xl version is available in NA but the rest of the world will have the small one. Can anyone tell me where can I get them here in Malaysia and how much is the price? I've been dying to get it. Thanks in advance.
