QUOTE(Ryou @ Feb 18 2013, 03:24 PM) Don't judge without investigating. Exmor sensors are even used by Nikon's DSLR from their entry-level D3200 til the professional D800. Even the 8MP BSI sensor in SIII & Note II are Sony-manufactured. I dont need to investigate i use it and from my experience it sux. Before u said its good do you know nikon DSLR ISO performance.? if its good why is it sux on note 2 and S3 because you are professional what you says go? QUOTE(arslow @ Feb 18 2013, 03:33 PM) Even iPhone uses exmor. The next iPhone will also be using the exmor RS sensor. Thing is is not only the sensors that make a camera, there are other things too. It's just that Sony always gets it wrong.... Yup, iPhone 4S was once the best 8MP Shooters. While we won't be able to really test Xperia Z before its launch, Oppo Find 5 which has the same sensor, has proven that Exmor RS sensor is superior in low-light performance & dynamic range. Of course sensor isn't everything. But my reply was pointed to the statement "Exmor is gimmick". Again, both Samsung & Sony (and many more OEMs) using the nearly-identical camera units (I believe the lenses are even Sony-manufactured). They perform quite similarly, with something that are too subjective and non-quantitable. Samsung tweaked the colour reproduction to have the images looking more vibrant. That's it.

QUOTE(neo0915 @ Feb 18 2013, 02:22 PM) Lolx... hahaha.... 1 more question, u use ur phone to format the card or use some tools in PC to format it ? I saw some ppl posted in XDA mentioning that they try to format 64GB card by using S3, but end up it jz show 32GB instead of 64GB while some said no prob... I format both my 64GB Sandick Class 10 via Note1 phone. So far no problems with both sdcard.

Before u said its good do you know nikon DSLR ISO performance.? if its good why is it sux on note 2 and S3 because you are professional what you says go? Nikon's ISO performance? Of course they differs between models. Megapixel counts and how the OEM tweaks the sensors, are come into the calculation. D800's 36MP sensor isn't as clean as D700's 12MP in high ISO sensors, so most people get into fast conclusion like: "Based on my experience, Canon has been better etc etc." Of course you can continue to believe that your experience serves you best and ignore the datas. "Because you are professional what you says go?" Nope, the facts go.

Xperia Z phone is good and have many nice features BUT Xperia Z thread community is terribly not matured. Now I'm thinking twice whether I want to buy that phone or not

Now I'm thinking twice whether I want to buy that phone or not Well since my Note II is still brand new. (Got it as a gift ), I'll stick with it. I own my sets of IEMs and set of photography equipment. So audio & photography will not be my first concern. I hope both Samsung & Sony can compete directly in User Interface refinement and that will be my next purchasing preference. You can still get involved in Note II thread even what's in your hand is the Xperia Z.

QUOTE(sacremento @ Feb 18 2013, 07:56 AM) Ok. I got these steps from tot31. So credits goes to him. You can just skip the rooting part for 4.1.2 1. Downgrade to old bootloader. 2. Flash the old 4.1.1 firmware and root it. 3. Install Triangle Away and reset the counter. 4. Install the latest 4.1.2 using Mobile Odin not PC Odin. This is the only way to preserve the old bootloader but having the new firmware. Use EverRoot option to maintain root. 5. Go to Download Mode to check the binary counter and if it is not 0 try to use TA again to reset it. These steps gets you root, old bootloader and everything official with binary counter 0 in download mode for 4.1.2. Stop at number 3 if you are going to claim warranty. Thanks

The ISP and firmwares differs actually. Bit yeah, the firmware is where these guys change the default contrast, saturation, exposure and whatever other levels, but they always use different ISPs. Every single Sony phones these days tend to over process the pics, and they also have a very high compression rate. It just makes them look bad, when in reality almost every flagship uses Sony sensors. Which is why even oppo has such good pic quality, for a phone of course.

My one reason to get a note 3,1080p screen But yeah, the colours won't be as awesome as butterfly even then, as an IPS panel will always have more accurate colours. What we will get as samsung owners are over saturated colours, sadly, which is good in certain ways.

My iPad is also so lovable but I didn't get an iPhone. 1080p is also my favourite, plan to build a HTPC soon. This post has been edited by fruitie: Feb 18 2013, 04:17 PM

But of coz new house comes first..lolz Oh please. It makes me crazy you know. How much did you get? I actually wanted to sell off my Note II for Butterfly but luckily I got back my conscious after that. Then, boss asked me to claim RM 800 subsidy, the thought came back again... What's your thought Butterfly compared to Note II? This post has been edited by fruitie: Feb 18 2013, 04:21 PM
