If turning off data..msg cannot got thru. That phone have selected app which can still use data. Others will be blocked.
Actually i dont know whether it got block or put to sleep/disable. If only block then it's bad for the phone system ss certain background apps will keep on searching for its data gathering. Better if those apps got disable like Nexus. Once disable it go into sleep mode until got enable again.

It's normal. Sometimes they got stuck and not shown. No worries..later on they will re-appear...lolz

Actually both topic are not that important for Note2.
Battery - already good. You can't get any better than that. Quit thinking bout how to improve your battery usage time.
Custom rom - again not much it can go/do any better. Mostly for eyes candy only. Reason : original stock rom is already good enough.
So...enjoy your Note2 fully..!!

Custom roms very seldom involved recovery. That's why most custom roms flash via CWM recovery. Stock rom will overwritten your custom recovery..so you need to clear the recovery part when flashing via MobileOdin.

If your phone is SME set..better fix it at service centre. If you fix it at other phone repair shop..you warranty will void.
Cost should be less than RM700.

Use Androzip File Manager free app to unzip the file into .tar format. Then you can flash via MobileOdin or PC Odin.

Yup..it wont touch your custom recovery IF your recovery section in MobileOdin is empty. If got files in recovery section..clear it first before you flash that firmware.
Worst scenario..you lost your recovery but you can always flash it back again. Make sure all the Everroot section is enable/tick to keep your root intact.

Ooo..but i still suggest you fix it at service centre as they have all the expertise. Or pass it to any authorised Samsung shop so they can pass it to service centre on your behalf but do ask the price first.

Ehh..you know how to flash but dont know how to backup Nandroid..!?
You do Nandroid via CWM recovery or TWRP. Actually one Nandroid is enough but try to keep the latest backup. The old one you can delete for storage space saving

If he have Nandroid backup...does restoring the Nandroid will bring the imei also..?

Do you have a param.bin files anywhere inside your phone. Reflashing param.bin will brinv back your imei..IINM

Phone cannot power on at all..cannot go into recovery or download mode at all. Same as SDS.

Price for new LCD is around RM700. Change it at service centre only as repairing at ordinary phone shop will void your warranty.
