But the clear default thing is shaded & Can't be clicked on. I want to set back to chrome & all. Any idea how? Sighh cry.gif

Do you like, use any file explorer? Such as ES File Explorer or Astro File Manager?
Clear your defaults in the app. Open it, search for setting. It solved my problem last time.

QUOTE(Positron @ Feb 7 2013, 12:00 PM)
However, due to the format limitation, sometimes you will find you cannot play MKV files on Galaxy Note 2 or missing audio when enjoying MKV movies on Galaxy Note 2. So how if you want to get these 1080p/720p MKV videos playable on your Galaxy Note 2? Get frustrated? Here you'll find the best solution.

The reason you cannot get MKV videos working on Galaxy Note 2 is simple: the default and downloaded Android Video player on the Note II cannot find a suitable decoder for the codec in the MKV file. To solve these problems, a great method is to convert MKV to Galaxy Note II compatible video formats along with some help from third-party tools.

The above statement is quoted by:
Cannot support mkv videos on Note 2

I am not sure, whether this is true or not.
*
What crap is this? I'm using MX Player and never have to convert any video formats.

I'm being fair here. He/she said as if converting the video is the only way to play mkv on Note 2. Whereas we can use, and always use other apps to play mkv.

This positron is like not using this Note 2 at all.

try using this apps from GP
Paragon exFat,NTFS, HFS+ mount..

my external hdd buffalo 1tb juz works great using a cheapo USB otg cable.
connect ur hdd to note 2, then open up this apps, it will detect your hdd. simply press mount and wait a while to let the note 2 to connect ur hdd.

it will have 2 directory settings after you connect, i juz use the default 1 which is easier for me.
every file in my hdd is usable and the video files played juz fine from the hdd. of course there is a 1-2sec pause if you skip d video.
but hey, it WORKS! thumbup.gif

Guys, a bit out of topic here. Is the IP address for a device is unique? Means, is it like fixed?
Can't be modified?
Curious.

IP address is determined by ISP, I would say 90% of the cases in Malaysia is dynamic IP means it changes every time it is disconnected.
*
MAC address? Same case?

Technically if you don't change it, then it stays the same.
I'm not sure how to change or if we can change Note II's MAC address though. smile.gif

This is a good read: http://pc.net/helpcenter/answers/changing_a_mac_address

Good evening Cikgu.

IP address will be assigned by the router. It will be fixed only if the router does not expire your "lease" ahahaa. Your IP address will also typically change if your reboot your device or router.
The MAC address is fixed as it is a value burned into the firmware of the network device by the manufacturer, so typically the MAC address is the unique IC number of any networked device in the world. However there are known ways to spoof the MAC address ie making a device with MACaddress1 show up as MACaddress2.

The above is a very very short summary of a very long subject.

Thanks to both of you.. Now I understood. Will read more icon_rolleyes.gif

video player kaki.

One more reason to consider MX Player. latest update now support multi view on Samsung phones.

This also brings to another point. If MX developers can add this to their apps, I dun see why whatsapp, viber, line are slow to add this.
