Depends on where u wan it . If the room is beside instead of the middle room then only drill ome wall a hole about 20 cent size just to pass the fibre cable and after that they will patch it up .
If not u call them hide the cable but will need to pay for the job .

usually the fibre at the pole in front or at the back of the house?

I'm thinking of setting the modem and etc inside my bedroom ..which is 1st room if pulling the cables into the room from the front or last room if pulling from the back hmm.gif

i hope their patch work wont be too hideous and my mum will start to complain again ...

im oso wondering if I can ask them to skip the set up for hypptv since I wont be using it

Well depends where your phone pole with the white box is usually its at the back.
let them set it up why no , it needs to put in login and password for the hypptv . Just provide a tv temporary at the place u wan to setup just for them the do their job . Who knows later u need to used it

Weird. hmm.gif

I am using VIP 20.

My upload became double when I switch from b/g to b/g/n under the advanced wireless settings in my D-Link.

Are this real upload speed ?

i just check ..the phone pole is at the back of my house

i think the contractor will need to drill few times in order to pull the cable into my room

my mum is not going to like it doh.gif

I dun watch tv at all except for sports channel

hence no tv in my room ... even if I put the modems and etc on the hall

still got quite a distance to the tv rclxub.gif

hi, anyone got issue with tp link tl-wn727n usb adapter?

I'm using Win7 64 bit, previously using old SMC adapter with XP 32bit, working flawlessly, but that old adapter is not compatible with win7 64bit, keep dc-ing, so I bought a new TP-Link adapter, however only got around 2.3 only, same exact place as I placed my previous adapter, 2-3m from router, signal is around 80%..

edit:
upload speed is good, 4.6+

SOLVED:
Ended up need to use the TP-Link software instead of just using the driver and let Windows handle the connection.. flex.gif
