Guys! I just found out an app called GMD Gesture Control. It enables features like closing an app by pinching the screen with four fingers (very iPad-ish)

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...recontrol&hl=en

With this app, it kinda make our Nexus 7 looks Ipad-ish. Can close app or change app with gesture control. rclxms.gif
*
yes, its very useful.

been using it for a long long time.

set your own gestures. this is mine.

5 finger pinch = home
4 finger up = recent apps
4 finger left = next app
4 finger right = previous app
4 finger up = menu button
5 finger rotate = off screen
4 finger double tap top half of screen = scroll to top of page
4 finger double tap bottom half of screen = scroll to bottom of page

use AOKP rom, enable hide nav bar.
no need nav bar and can operate the tablet like a boss.

40-45 C is very high for a device when it is on standby mode, when I am posting this, my n7 is just 28 C and when i start up high detailed games, maximum I have seen is 37 C. I think you should bring your n7 to service to check as it is still under warranty. Do you feel hot when you are holding it(especially the left side of n7)?

If rooted use titanium backup
Non rooted use mybackuppro or androidzip but backup only app not its data
Copy all your visible stuff in tablet to PC
Or use nexus7 toolkit connect to PC n backup whole tablet

It most probably some high processing app running. Might not be kernel or hardware fault.
