Sure boh lol.

The latest news is they crack down on this type of practice and ban them from rental to people. Check few week back the local news. Till those people strike at the langkawi gov office.

Just use the proper way and go to the car rental counter at the jetty. They will ask for your driving license and ic. If you still P, bring along the P sticker or ask your friend to drive.

I am bringing my two foreign female Ex-Uni mates for vacation on the island, just wonder is it OK for them to wear Thong bikini on the beach? I had holidayed with them in Bali two months ago and to them wearing Thong bikini and even go topless is a norm. So I am a bit skeptical over our country here due to religious reasons. This may offend the locals. So far I have not sighted any of our female/male beach goers wearing such outfit.

On another note..Bikini should be no problem, sseing lotsa bikinis in Perhentian & also in Sibuan & Mabul islands in Semporna Sabah.

For topless, I hv seen once in langkawi..long time ago...can provided your friends are in private secluded place far from kampungs..Otherwise...lotsa buayas (Me one of them liao!) & also Authority for sure

In my opinion, in public beach there was a no-no situation but I have seen lotsa European/Japanese going topless but in private beach such as Pangkor Laut and Andaman.

I really impress by the carefree kind of attitude on the beaches of Bali/Thailand. Ttat's why I always have to endure the trouble in explaining the restritive religious mindset in our country to my foregin friends. Why cann't we be just like in Koh Samui where ladies(Asian/White) just walk around on the public beaches topless.

Find a road behind Jalan Kelibang in Kuah town. There are a couple of open-air restaurants along the road which are quite famous. Went there 15 years ago till now and that's the only place we prefer to eat biggrin.gif I forgot the name of the restaurant but I think its the upper most one.

plus, if you're looking for cheap liquor, look for Sin Yuan Fa just opposite the restaurant (shop lot)...its the cheapest liquor shop around last I visited in July. Enjoy your trip smile.gif

Hey peeps how can you tell if a hotel room is offering twin queen beds?

They have all the fancy terms like "twin bed" "deluxe" "superior" and such.

Twin bed can sometimes mean twin single beds that's why i'm confused,

And can recommend some hotels which offer two queen beds in a room? Middle ranged ones and thanks. biggrin.gif
